The guy who runs the video store where I rent all my DVDs absolutely loves this movie. I mean he said he was terrified by it. And I envy him, coz I was bored. I liked the original short story, but not the movie.
first time i sat all the way through it , amazing film excellent acting great story ,, jump parts made me jump , i really felt for the guy !!

personally, i would have liked it to be more about the horror as far as torturing him and less about his life. however, i guess thats the point of the film. so many ppl sit in a room and are tormented by their past and decisions they did or did not make. they relive them over and over till some do in fact take their own lives. (just my take on it)
raelly great thriller..for those who havent seen it,pls note that there are two alternate endings for this movie. After seeing the link u used to watch the movie, just try to see the ending of some other links..
I can swear I saw another version of this film. The first time I saw it, it ended with Cusack talking to his wife lightly about the incident and finally playing his recorder and her listening to her daughter’s voice. Don’t get me wrong. I WASN’T IN 1408! Anyways the film still works a spook. And Cusack’s acting is great. 5/5
I really like this film. I've watched it 2 times now and the ending's of the first and second time i watched were different. Did they make different endings or something?
This movie was a trip! Really, really scary! I watched it twice and was terrified both times. Plus, John Cusack is so hot! 10/10! One of the best movies I've ever seen. Very original plot, lots of twists, jump out of your seat and you won't know what happens next.. This is a classic horror movie! Watch this if you want to be terrified..then watch it again!
