Very well written film, but it could've been put together a bit better--and it was a bit slow I agree. But this film was focused more on performances, rather than the plot. I just absolutely love the main cast, Penn, Watts & especially Del Toro. They all did fantastic.
Yes, like others opinion I also enjoyed the movie very well, The movie is little bit confusion in starting, some will say it is .. if he watch half or less, but till end it give a keen fillings.
Just i still confuse that the movie Seven pound also bit similar with this one..
i bought the dvd even before i had seen the movie because of the great reviews and over 30 nominations from various film associations (including 2 oscar noms). it might start slow and seem confusing, but after the pieces start to fall into place, the story is absolutely touching. the length allows the audience to develop a deep and personal understanding of each character's lives and how the events that happen effect everyone close to them, making it that much more emotional. i have yet to finish this film with dry eyes and i've seen it over 10 times. it is definitely one of my all-time favorites. 5/5
What a great film! The story was excellent. Del Toro's acting was superb and Sean Penn is becoming one of my favorites. I was impressed by Naomi Watts too. 3/4 stars.
This film is definitely for sophisticated viewers. (And avoid it if you want a "feel-good" movie). Anyway, the parts begin to become noticeably intertwined after the 20-minute mark. I think it rates a 6 out of 10.

I really like movies like this where you have to put the pieces together and figure out what's going on. It's so weird but hard to not watch lol. Sean Penn's character always gives me the willies lol. I could really do without the whole nudity in it though.
I THOUGHT THIS MOVIE WAS PRETTY GOOD. I LIKE MOVIES WHERE PPL WHO DON'T KNOW EACH OTHER AND MOST LIKELY NEVER WOULD MEET ARE BROUGHT TOGETHER THROUGH SOME FREAK EVENT
A good film about life, and how we deal with the darker sides to life. Good performances by Del Torro and Penn. Not depressing as much as a real look at
life, "What If " that sort of thing. Decent flick! 8/10
This film was hard to watch, too messy for any mentally healthy individual and pointlessy depressing. Sad films should be uplifting or at least real. This was just a piece of junk, hated it.
There was a film called Crash, I think, with the same idea about different people from different walks of life getting together caused by accident etc.. It was messy too, but at least, could be quite easily understood, and was much better. It was just as well depressing and sad but left the audience on a positive wave, not like this.
This is on my list of favorite movies of all time. If you like dramatic movies that are 100 percent depressing than this movie is a must see. This has GREAT amazing acting and a wonderful script. You may be a little confused the first time you watch it, but the 2nd time around you will see the art in it and enjoy it a lot more. I have easily seen it 10 times and it just gets better. I recommend this movie to all without a doubt.
Alejandro González Iñárritu is a genius, and this movie is no exception. Shot in his trademark scattered style, the story is meant to unfold, giving you bits and pieces at a time. See also, 'Amores Perros' and of course 'Babel'. The three leads in 21 grams are amazing, especially Benicio Del Toro. I'm so glad this movie ended the way it did. I thought the ending in 'Babel' was a bit of a sell-out. Enjoy!
