Six months after the rage virus was inflicted on the population of the British Isles, the US Army helps to secure a small area of London for the survivors to repopulate and start again. But not everything goes to plan.
A really good movie in so many ways. I would have left her at the house too, why get bitten when you have no way to treat yourself just to try and fail to save that kid who lead them their, if you can't win when you are outnumbered you run plain and simple.
Good movie. I'm glad that they weren't zombies (not that i don't like zombie movies) but thta added sorta reality to it. Of course there were some pretty silly things, but that didn't ruin it too much. 7/10
*note zombies are walking dead. they were alive.. sorta =)
so many bad things in this movie, i mean stupid sh!t!!
for example theres a scene where the military lock a bunch of civilians in a small room to keep them safe from the infected.. Then one infected dude walks up to the back door, low andbehold its not even LOCKED!! this kinda of stuff happens all the way through this movie, i spent most of the time yelling at my screen lol!
Better than the first 1 more action, in the first 1 the true enemy was the rapist soldiers 28 weeks later the enemy is the infected how it should be. And in the ending of 28 days later they had you rooting for the infected that they kill the soldiers a bit corny to me.
Was really engaging..I still liked the first movie better, but this was not at all a bad second to it. The infected seemed alot different in this movie, more realistic? The first seemed like something was goofy with their eyes..but still realistic nontheless. I liked the children leading the movie acually, it was a nice change. Soo..when will there be a 28 Months later? Think it'll happen? I doo i doo :D
the doctor should NOT HAVE DIED, cuz she was the only one who knew the children has the vaccine, and that was the only thing that could have protected them
I have to agree the first one was better " 28 days later " i would watch that first before this if already didn't . This wasn't too bad as a sequel even tho the stroyline was so-so i hope they can do a better if they do " 28 months later " . 3 out of 5
it was all rights.. just a bit.. hmm.. stupid such as
[SPOILER]
when that guy kissed his wife and he just went in there without any problem.. seriously.. she should be under all time security or at least monitoring.. ;/
so it lowers my opinion a little but overall 4/5 :):)
Not bad not bad but I do agree with the other comments about 28 days later being better then 28 weeks. Started off good then slowed down alot then it revved back up again. Some parts were sad but all in all the movie doesnt compare to the bond that the selena, jim and the others had in 28 days. Still worth a watch if you like a zombie flick. I must admit though the camera shots from the zombie POV was a good addition to the flick but it was way to out of control.
This movie started out seemingly alright, then the two kids started to piss me off. Then more stuff pissed me off. And things just kept pissing me off, all the way thru the movie. This movie sucked big time.
All the way through the movie, you saw stupid people making stupid decisions, and in the end only jeopardizing their life even more so, if that was even possible they certainly accomplished it. It could only make you say, "WTF, WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT, YOU DUMMYHEAD?!"
Please read the spoiler if you have watched the movie. It only further dictates my position.
[SPOILER]
God dammit, that stupid mofo who jumped on the helicopter, I'm glad he died. The two kids, I hope they died. Embarrassing display of security by the US military, thank god they died. Why would you want any military with cheap security, that even someone who ran the utilities could get by? AND WHY WOULD YOU EVEN ALLOW SOMEONE THAT ONLY RAN UTILITIES HAVE CLEARANCE ACCESS TO MILITARY GROUNDS?! WERE THERE NO GUARDS, NO SENTRIES, NOBODY MONITORING THE GUY'S WIFE?!
The writer of this movie and 28 Days Later didn't even plan on having a third part until a year after this movie was produced. HOW DID THEY EXPECT THE SERIES TO END ON THIS HORRIBLE NOTE?
So, "28 Months Later" comes out in 2011 (confirmed by IMDB). I hope to God, they make it worthwhile the time. I gotta believe audiences were disgusted by the ending of this film.
Still, the fact that this movie made me all emotional about it, slamming it hard was just a way to release that tension. Despite its shortcomings, I'd like to say, as I did the first movie, that I like the creative idea of the rage virus, high rate of infectability, and the way they depict it is exciting to watch, which is why though I had an angry face on the whole movie, I had to keep watching. 7.5/10
The whole technically-they-aren't-zombies deal is rubbish. Ok, ok, so they are supposed to be walking dead, but then TECHNICALLY, the original human that the "rage-infected people" were is no more, and they became "rage-infected people", so TECHNICALLY the original being of the "rage-infected person" is dead.
It took me until this movie to realize that this series is not a zombie series (the first movie seemed more like a zombie movie) but the intent of the rage infected was not to eat, but to kill =P
Another zombie doctor, you all should work for the CDC and classify the different types of Contagious Psychotic Cannibal Disorders (CPCD). I dont see the difference in getting technical about it though -- "infected people," "Meat Deficient Evil Creatures From Hell". If infected people start losing there minds and eating people, then they are all just zombies in my book.
I guess zombies are becoming politically correct too, Now they are just infected psychopaths.
I prefer to think of them as Meat Deficient Evil Creatures From Hell.
But they are more frightening that way.
OUTSTANDING SEQUEL once again by Danny Boyle and his team.
For me the second viewing was more enjoyable than the first time, and there are not many films that I can say that about!
60% rated this film.
Even if someone were to have a natural immunity to the rage virus they still would have likely died from the untreated bites. The human mouth is a cesspool of bacteria.
28 days later was better in my opinion. I loved Jim and Selena. Anyway, back to this movie.
[SPOILER]
2 brats get hundreds of people killed. This is why you should give your children whippings, if you don't they end up killing half the world over a damn picture.
Does no one here know how to use the spoiler Feature?!?! I already knew what would happen next many times not because of predictability but because of the comments i read before i watched it. Now that i said that, i liked this movie, good sequel, 3/5.
I told you guys before that sequels can be disappointing as don't expect much more this one either. Not bad but not good as the first in series. 2/5 stars for it
Not bad, slower than 28 Days but probably easier to follow. The rage infected people looked very realistic and I thought the story was very good especially the way
[SPOILER]
Robert Carlyle's character became infected
. I'd give it 4/5 and recommend it if you liked 28 Days Later, Dawn of the Dead etc
