These westerns are so old that they have to add the sound seperatly and lip sync. I found that a little annoying at first because it all the characters sound like they are mumbling instead of talking. I got used to it though and even though the kills were ridiculously fake, I still think it is good because of when it was made. His movies prove that it is the story line and emotion the characters have that really matter rather than how high the budget is and how great the special effects are. Clint Eastwood's facial expression is priceless.
Very good western, especially for its time. The story is good, Eastwood is excellent and the shootout scenes are classic. Worth watching..4.5/5 rating.
A drifter gunman arrives in the Mexican village of San Miguel at the border of United States of America, and befriends the owner of the local bar Silvanito. The stranger discovers that the town is dominated by two gangster lords: John Baxter and the cruel Ramón Rojo. When the stranger kills four men of the Baxter's gang, he is hired by Ramón's brother Esteban Rojo to join their gang. However, the stranger decides to work for both sides, playing one side off against the other.
This movie is kinda of a remake, from a movie called Yojimbo. The concept is the same, just place the characters in Futo Japan. And make Clint a Samurai. Yes but still this is still a classic western. 4.5/5.
