Lance Armstrong! LMAO. This was awesome. Loved the way this movie played out, it was funny and romantic and omgosh some of the scenes in this had me laughing out loud. Definitely watch this one!
A nice relaxing afternoon movie.. nothing too special..agree about the scenery..the mansion is mind blowing 4/5 --> could have had another famous actor there, to spice the comedy up a little more..possibly the part played by the wine grower in the film ;)
I liked it more towards the end, because it seemed like it would be sort of boring and predictable. It turned out to be a nicely written movie and I'm glad I finished it. Initially, I only watched it because Russel Crowe (one of my favorite actors) was in it, but the scenery was beautiful and most of the actors/actresses did a great job. Liked it! 4/5 stars - because it was a little predictable. Worth a watch
(Some of the songs in the soundtrack irritated me.)
This movie is a pleasant, relaxing romance, excellent as a chick-flick and not too shallow. Several nice laughs, but it's not full-fledged comedy, nor is it meant to be. I rate it at least 6 1/2 out of 10.
Nope..it's a bad year! I LOVE romance movies, but this one did nothing for me. I couldn't finish it. I watched over half of it, hoping it would get better, or I would catch on to something I was missing, but it just didn't happen.
2/5 for the cool house and the dog :)
I've watched this movie twice alread, and I must say that the plot was so predictable, I wanted to shut the whole thing off - the only thing that kept me watching was the hilarious British humor and Freddie Highmore who played y. Max... seriously? Not the best of Russel Crowe! 3/5
When I turned on the movie, it was because I had nothing else to do or watch. I was expecting some boring movie to sleep while watching, but boy!! Was I wrong!
The movie is beyond entertaining. It is, by all means, fabulous! AMAZING sense of humor, SPECTACULAR performance by Crowe and the team (except for the Indian secretary), LOVELY romance, and most of all, SUPERB story..
Couldn't take any more than 20 minutes of it. Really dragging and slow. No excitement in this movie. I'm a fan of Russel Crowe and Albert Finney but this movie did not cut it for me.
This is the first movie I've seen Russel Crowe in, and I must say he was fantastic! Beyond my expectations! I thought he was this annoying little grump who's a good-for-nothing showoff! But I was wrong..and I'm more than happy to admit it.
This movie is so smooth that I can't find any words to describe it.. The acting, scenery and story line all blended perfectly. By the way this film does give a great life's advice. A fair 10/10 a must see
any film that has russell crowe and albert finney can not be bad..thow in ridley scott as directer and you have a very nice film.. who knew russell crowe could be funny..8/10

Russell Crowe did a wonderful job in this film. Though it was a little odd seeing him with some comedic charm. I am definitely not used to that. Most of his roles have been serious/adventurous. It was a definite surprise to me in his acting capability in this one. He was definitely good in the timing of the jokes. Hmm Russell Crowe a comedian. How interesting. The movie overall was good, not the best , but good non the less. 4/5 stars.
apparently you people never saw him in virtuosity. He was oozing sarcasm in that entire movie. even though he was the viillain. i was glad to see him going back to being funny
A light and witty comedy/romance. The direction and story weres very well done. The scenery was superb and the casting was excellent. I had no idea that Russel Crow had a funny/witty side to him. I enjoyed this film immensely. It reminded me of under the Tuscan Sun. 5/5
yes i know it has been done before yes we all know how the ending will be from the start but i enjoy this movie soo much i watched it few times and i hate romantic films it feels like a remake of something it has taken me back to romantic french films they made long time ago i will recommend this to even stone hearted men like me

The movie has nothing original in it but the theme is slow to move to keep you enticed for long .If you hate dramas with a little comdey then you are welcome but this ain't no pure comedy as they classify it.Albert finney was kind of omni present in this one
It's not pure comedy, but it's good! C'mon, a British asshole who wants nothing but money? Romance? Duh, it's bound to end up in something nice. Besides, it's classified as ROMANTIC comedy, not PURE comedy as you say it's supposed to be..personally, I enjoyed this enormously.
