Very good movie, but wassent there something about a file the old man had about the boy´s knowledge of him, that would be found if he should die?. He lied or what.. And that tread of edd, not nessesary, he could have explained that easy..
Great film, captivating story and a great cast. Ian McKellen was fantastic in this one.
Even when it's not horror, King is still awesome. 4.5/5 rating.
wasnt as good as i thought it would b in the sense there werent many stories he told him, it would have been better if there were more stories and flashbacks while the stories were told, he didnt rele teach him nething that we seen in the movie, thriller wise it wasalrite but i was let down by this one
Another great by the master, King! This was one that takes a mind game approach rather than a horror, creep or gore, and well worth the watch even if they do leave out or change things from the book. Or it would be a 6 hour movie, so IMO it was well done in giving the most out of the time they had to work with! 4/5 at least! And going on my playlist.
9/10 King at his best. There are so many subtle lessons displayed in this movie with remarkable skill. Fear and blackmail can weave two people in one single piece of fabric. Do not play with matches..evil is contagious
I am someone who is very passionate about the injustice of others. I do think this movie is a great movie but i just want to corect something that bothered me about it! *Not 6 million people*6 million jews*upward of ten to twelve million people were killed during the holocaust I think in watching these hollywood fables we must not forget the facts about these VERY REAL and important events, and I feel we should hold hollywood up to higher standards in delivering the fact about something this IMPORTANT! Once again its a good movie just misinformed and with the right information it could have been great!Ian McKellan is a great actor

One of the lesser-known King stories without monsters or gore, and one of the best.
The original short story benefited from and excellent screen plays and a great actor's direction.
Chilling and fascinating exploration of the human psyche and its potential for evil.
Great film and one that I hadn't seen in awhile so I figured I'd see if it was as good as I remembered.Was and still is excellent.A 5 star film for me.
Wow, I absolutely loved this one. Great storyline. The acting was amazing. Singer's direction was, in my opinion, sheer perfection. I highly recommend this to those looking for a great suspense. Did I say Wow..
