Bought this one on VHS, and have watched numerous times. Was surprised to run across it here, and watched. Never tire of this, you try, see if you like it.
when i first saw evil dead, it was so freaking scary! i was a little girl and i remember my cousin covering his eyes LOL. when i saw part 2, it was still scary but funny also, then when i saw this one, i laughed so freakin hard! now i can watch the other 2 and appreciate the funniness, even though they still scare me! i give it a 4/5
I been watching this awesome movie since i was only 6 years old when my mother took me to theaters to watch it. And even today after thousands of times watching i still love it.
This movie is freaking awesome i will continue to watch every week with my friends and family.
Did the Evil Dead movie really kill a person because of frightness?
well that was a rumour in my place when I was a kid. I dont know whether its true or false. But I know 1 thing, the 1st and 2nd Evil Dead Movies were scary as hellf88k!! It was really deadly frightening at that time..
But I dont know why all of a sudden they made the 3rd a funny one? That bothers me a lot! I mean when I saw this the movie for the 1st time, I thought it was a fake.. because I was expecting like the 1st or the 2nd. It just changed its genre completely! well nevermind its sstill great!
This movie, like the first two installments in the Evil Dead series, is amazing. It's style is different, leading with comedy and holding a subtext of horror. Though this is a change in pace it is most definitely not a bad one. Where the horror has gone the humor fills it's place, making for a an excellent film. 5/5
I agree once again. This one is more comedy then horror but is still amazing.. I think this one really showcases Bruce Campbell's talent even though some moments are cheesy it's still great.. 5/5..
love all these evil dead movies,saw first one when i was akid at a party,had to walk home alone afterwards 3 miles through a forest,thought the trees were gonna get me

I too watched it with my friends at night. I cant imagine how u could wake at night alone after watching the 1st one. I couldnt even sum up the courage to go to the toilet alone!! hahahaa kids we were.. below 10!
This plot with medieval age blended with horror zombies is epic! It is something that needs a lot of childlish imagination to come up with. A child`s imagination is unlimited, this movie made me remember playing with medieval toy soldiers and castles as a kid, and how as a kid you could think of any plot no matter how farfetched it was.
This movie is one of my favs, a horror that doesn`t take itself too seriously, and at the same time has style, effort, good cast, good setting, undead creatures, gore, war strategy, adventure and a very creative original story. It is the Indiana Jones of the horror genre.
A lot of horror movies are out there to scare or shock you or make you feel disgusted, but this one actually made me enjoy it primarily through it`s originality and humour.
Anybody catch that what ash says "klatu nerada vecto" or whatever is the same thing that they had to say to the robot in the original the day the earth stood still, to keep it from killing them. That's a pretty funny vague little reference that not too many people pick up on. Oh yeah, there may be another evil dead movie coming out, or Ash Vs some very famous comic book characters. Ash was actually in the marvel comics fighting alongside and against some very noteworthy characters.
Yeah! I found some article relating to Freddy Cougar And Jason .. After freddy vs jason, for the 2nd movie, it was going to be Freddy vs Jason Vs Ash!
If that happens then, goddamn the theatre is gonna be packed!
are you serious?? no where as funny as the second one? as much as i love the 2nd one this one is way more funny..its got so many more quotable 1 liners and all around is just hilarious.
The 1st and 2nd one werent funny or in comedy genre. Maybe u watched the wrong versions and got mix matched. out of the 3, only the last one is funny as hell. the other 2 are scary as hell.
Bruce Campbell is the man. had to open with that. not the greatest movie but if u got nothing to do this is one movie u should watch and laugh all the way through.if uv'e seen it then this is for u.
Definitely not as dark as the first two..this is way more focused on slapstick humour. It's still funny and I loved the setting; that in particular kept the series fresh.
Evil Dead 2 is, in my opinion, the best in the series. This is still great for a third installment though. You'll have fun watching it and that's what counts. 4/5 stars.
