Small story with large implications told extremely well. Great performances by all three leads. Best Nicholson movie of the decade.

This movie moved me to want to be a better man for my wife..I see she is like Helen Hunt's charactor..just a good good person..If the world is weighting you down just watch this movie and you will just feel better..11/10 rating..Jack is worth every buck they pay him to do a movie..Have a nice day everyone..
Stories been done before but these were very good characters. Jack and Helen really had some chemistry, and the their acting was spot on.
I did hate, I'm using the word hate here, a subtext that doctors and pills will just make your life better. I still rated the movie 5/5. Enjoy.
This movie took a lot of my time but it was well worth it. I definetly won't watch it again because I have better things to do lol but it ws great. In my opinion,

I think they make the worst couple ever: An old lonely man with a average aged woman that looks very young. I tought his relationship with the dog was really cute. The line "you make me want to be a better man" really made it nice.
I may be biased because I am a huge Nicholson fan, but I happen to think this movie is perfect. Noone could have played Melvin any better than Jack. Greg Kinnear and Helen Hunt were great too. 5/5
this is on my list of best ten films all times and when i say this i must have watched 20.00 films since 70s so i think you get the point it touches soo many diffrent aspects of life then shows you any one can change if they will it in their heart and the way every one acted in this film i thought i was in the actual story itself who am i to judge jack he is a living legend and he just creates that magic he does all of he's films he fits the part like a glove i loved it watched it soo many times this film can never bore you please watch it
it was a great movie, with great actors and a story line that kept you interested in what was coming next, but it was entirely too long..other than that, i love it. i just don't think i can watch it again.
I can swear that if Jack Nicholson wasn't in that movie it wouldn't have been this good. the story was very good, but Jack made it magically beautiful! the only other THIS good dramatic performance i know was in The Bucket List, which he also was a main character in.
Jack Nicholson is absolutely one of Hollywood's greatest. A talent that doesn't appear very often.
This is it! If you like humour great acting and not the least a fantastic plot, here is your film. Jack and Helen is simply outstanding. But please do not forget the two other actors: Greg Kinnear and Cuba Gooding jr. They take this movie to a higher rate. Academy Award: They should all had it! Enjoy!
