The first thirty minutes I almost gave on this film -- until that little girl's accusation turned the tide in to peoples' life. Briony word so innocent but destructive indeed.
Sometimes this parallel in real life -- hopefully we can learn from it.
Gripping story with believeable acting. Put off watching this film a while now, it had been recommended to me time and time again, glad i did finally. The reality of how both lives ended was so very sad & tragic. 9/10
this was a great movie , dont know why i waited so long to watch it. the way it was made was briliantl aswell as the scene at the beach is just one big long scene and it must have been hard to make it, kudos to the director
What a brilliant, passionate and beautiful movie. Watching some movies, I cry the sadness out of myself, but sometimes i don't. This time i didn't cry, what makes the ending much more harder for me.. memory of it won't leave me for weeks..
Also, this film makes nowadays seem somehow more easier (what doesn't mean injustice has left us :/)
Loved it as much as hated it (can't explain myself clearly.. only things i hate there are war and unfairness of the story, but that last one is what makes me love it too. Argh, what a pain, never mind). James and Keira were amazing, and those who played Briony creeped the hell out of me (what is good :D, they acted very well) 9,9 out of 10
the look in Briney's eyes as she looked out the window that she was going to be like
Michelle Phiffer in "White Oleander" or Ivy in the movie "Thirteen." All three movies address some really heavy truths in a way that is interesting to puzzle out at first.. I highly recommend all three.
I had never seen this movie and stumbled upon it..really liked it alot..Kept my interest the entire way through. Good story line and Knightley does a fabulous job!!
I absolutely love movies with Knightly, and I love how little scenes later on explain what is going on in the movie. It's different, and enjoyable. The ending is so sad though :(

The music is sometimes too heavy-handed, and there are some shots that are too slow or too closeup.
This melancholy movie is generally well-done, but nothing to write home about. I give it 6 or 6 1/2 out of 10.

And what a terrible twist at the end!! I hate sad endings (though that has nothing to do with the movie not getting a higher rating).
Amazing film, cryed my eyes out like I never have done with a film before. Romantic and sad. The actresses who all played Bryony were great, all three of them.. I give this 5/5!
