The story focuses on a man who suffers "anesthetic awareness" and finds himself awake and aware, but paralyzed, during heart surgery. His young wife must wrestle with her own demons as a drama unfolds around them.
Amen, guitarman, you DO have your bible right. Paul says plainly that absent from the body is present with the Lord, II Cor 5:8, IF you're one of His, and nobody would know that better than Paul. There's NO purgatory in the real bible, and no, there's NO "wait" for heaven/hell on "judgment day" in the bible, both wrong, both those assumptions are from denominational wrong teachings (RC and I'm guessing JW). BUT the main characters weren't quite dead yet; my take is they were both in a coma in the time before she passed and he came to.
Never even heard of this hidden gem. A really well done film with top notch acting. This was hell of a ride that I really enjoyed watching. The twists were completely unexpected.
Give it a watch I think you'll find it impressive 4/5
tell me about it, this movie had so many flip flops it drove me insane..i loved loved this movie..its just a lil bit of me wanted this to be a happy ending type movie but the other half of me is like..aw dang thats just LIFE!! Awesome movie!! 10/10 It kept me interested, which is really hard to do..lol
I went in with low expectations despite the high ratings. (those with experience on this site will know what i mean.) I was pleasantly surprised. 3/5 Good
Was actually surprised at how good this movie was, only weatched cos there was nothing else on. Ending was a bit crap i would have liked to see him kill them all. 8.7/10
I love Jessica Alba and for me, that was the reason for watching this flick. Love the many great actors in this one, surprised to see Terrence Howard !!
The movie itself was amazing. Not one moment I was bored. Story developed in such a good, yet weird/psycho way.

I wasn't feeling the voiceover of Hayden when he was in surgery, and when they told his mother he "died" I knew right away she would offer her own life to save him.
Loved Larry, who has a psycho role in Home Alone. One thing though.

When the movie was over, I thought "so why did they do it?"

I was really thrilled that Jessica turned out to be one of the bad guys. And absolutely loved the fact Hayden did survive and they all got what they deserved. I normally want the bad guys to win, but this was aweful.. especially since Hayden was awake during surgery.
Nontheless one of the best movies I've seen in the past couple of months. 5/5
