I love this movie. A wildly imaginative concept and great performances from everyone, especially John Malkovich. It must be very difficult to play somebody pretending to be you, but not very convincingly.
Strange movie, very enjoyable! Malkovich has something charismatic/sexy about him like Paul Newman or Sean Connery, they just get hotter with age! He is an exceptional actor, he really banged out a great performance on this one. Rarely would I watch any movie more than once, but this one I could watch many times without getting bored. Keener was adorable as always, Diaz played a nondescript and soft-spoken woman; you couldnt help but feel for her character. 9.9/10 Really a great watch! I can't believe I waited so long to see this!
This had to be one of the strangest and most bizarre movies i have ever watched, that was aucitally pretty good and made sence, somewhat. It Made sence in the sence that I could understand what was going on. My brother-in-law told me about this one when we were talking about movies and I had mentioned that i love John Malkovich's acting but don't see him in many films. He told me if I had ever watched "Being John Malkovich" and I had said No, never even heard about it. Where was I in the late 90's?
This film was so strange and twisted, I just loved it. I coulden't believe when I seen John Cusack (yet another great actor that I don't see in a lot of movies) and Cameron Diaz in the movie. They all played roles that the don't normaly do and it worked out great. I didn't even notice it was Cameron Diaz under that frizzy hair and baggy bum clothes she was wearing untill halfway into the movie lol. Anyways it's a great film to watch while high, I know i enjoyed it and currently looking for it but sadly cant find it anywhere..:( Great movie 9/10
I've seen this movie a few times now and the reason I keep coming back is because it is such an interesting and unique movie.. It does have an all-star cast as well (John Cusack, Cameron Diaz, John Malkovich, Charlie Sheen, and more).. It's worth a watch to any movie lover.. 8/10..
Kusack looks totally like John Lennon. Diaz - OMG - I didn't recognize her at first. And Malkovich - Malcovich - his voice is soo sexy. Good, but weird movie.
PS And shrink for a monkey bcz of her childhood trauma ? That was hilarious.
I saw this years ago and am about to watch it again. Malkovich has always one of my very favorite actors, too bad not everyne knows who he is, because his acting has always been brilliant.. Hes so good that he gets lost in his roles so afterwards many people can't recall who played the part. I love his work and I'll bet he's interesting as hell as a friend.
Brilliant. An extremely bizarre and 100% original film with a funny and highly imaginative storyline, which is deeper than it appears.
Great cast; John Malkovich was awesome and John Cusack's oddball character was simply fantastic; one of his best performances.
I can honestly say that I have seen nothing like this before. And for that, it gets 5/5 stars.
it's amazing the way the movie moves, at the begining i was confused but then i was involving in the movie, i didnt understand the end, at what moment craig got in the childs brain? BUT EXTRAORDINARY!!
Kusak,Diaz,and ofcourse Malcovich where awesome.It's brilliantly twisted in it's very own way.I suppose this could of worked with any known actor but using John Malcovich makes it all the more weird.Kusak and Diaz look so desheveled it fits perfect with the movie.
i thought this was a weird and interesting film. john c. was a bit creepy in here and totally unattractive.. john m. was excellent. i loved him in dangerously liaison.. anyways.. recommended.
after he made this movie. Letterman liked it, and Malkovich seemed to have enjoyed it. It's cool to me he can lampoon himself. I thought the movie was hilarious all the way through and could care less about trying to figure any of it out. Cusack and Diaz looked like total dorks, also enjoyable. I admit I DO love it when the yuppie artsy-fartsy crowd get a jab - the marionettes creep me out and animal psychology is such BS. Good show all around, just my 2 cents.
I've never seen this movie and have avoided watching it in it's entirety. I can't say why exactly..maybe the meer notion of being in someone elses head seeming like an intrusion. Who is John Malkovich? Is he so fantastic that one would aspire to do something as grotesque as that? I'll soon find out because I'm about to watch it for the first time in my life.
OK, i just watched the film for the first time and I have to say I was intriged from the moment the movie began to the last scene. I concept is wild and totally original.
this was so odd, and the whole time I was watching it all I could think of was the twilight zone..really an interesting movie..but Jeezy Creezy John Cusack was weird and unattractive in this..and unrecognizable except for his voice..
