The warrior Beowulf must fight and defeat the monster Grendel who is terrorizing towns, and later, Grendel's mother, who begins killing out of revenge.
The cast in this is very good. Too bad they animated it only to make it a bunch of human wanna be's.
I had rather see these actors in the flesh. But the effects are very nasty, bloody.
Suprisingly good, very nasty very cheesy fun fanstasy. A rare breed. I remember this coming out at the cinema was a 12a, I bet it gave alot of kids nightmares.

astounding piece of art! Can't get cooler than this! Just not possible! Very entertaining indeed! Loved it so much!
That Grendel is one ugly ** for sure! Arrgh he's ugly. Movie captured me in right from the start to the finish. Don't pass on this one, and i can guarantee, as a movie lover, you won't regret. So do yourself a favour and strap on the seatbelt and enjoy the crazy ride that is "Beowulf"!
It was a decent movie. I wasnt totally disappointed because the action sequences were very good. The ending left enouh imagination to write your own ending. Kinda reminded me of Lord of the Rings II. 4/5

This movie looks amazing, and it has in some scenes good writing, and at points this movie feels like a true epic. But I didn't really got involved in this movie from the start, and there were a couple dull and a rather slow moments. And I think that none of the characters were developed that well, there wasn't a single character that I really cared about. Overall a decent movie, it had potential to be great but IMO it failed at achieving that.

just brilliant, couldnt keep my eyes away, and it's hard to keep me completely entertained) never even paused for any break, just kinda forgot about everything))
different, was it animation? i liked this; the story was good, close to the saga in ways. the acting seemed stiff, i think the lack of fine expression was exagerated by the lifelike characters, 4/5
Not that bad, it's not really like the book although they try to stick close to it.. I didn't mind the air-brushing of the characters, it was different.. Overall not a bad movie.. Good Direction.. 7/10..
Its was an okay movie animation was great but not like the final fantasy animation which is superb and no were near it but it was a good movie ;] I give a 4/5 in my opinion :]
I'm afraid i have to dissagree with most of the posts. I liked the general idea of the story but it wasnt well executed also it was kinda slow at a few moments. About the animations, they were not that good. I think they're about on the same level as final fantasy: the spirits within and that was made in 2001. Reckon 8 years of progress should've been noticable in such a high budget production. All in all, i wasnt impressed.
