It's funny we used to have blacxploitation films in the seventies, I guess everything old is new. The only difference is that is is michael jai white instead of fred williamson or issac hayes is huggy bear next for a restyling in the movies.
this movie was much better then fighter which was the last mma movie i have seen the fight scenes were so good expecilly the last one it was great counter vs counter it was just amazing all in all if you like mma or a good action movie this is the movie for you the plot was even pretty good 8.5 stars out of 10
Why do most of Micheal Jai White's movies go straight to DVD? Undisputed 2 was alot like this, and it wasn't in theaters either. This was an awesome flick, alot better than most of what comes to theater these days. Anyone who says the fighting is "unrealistic" needs to go watch their MMA. His technique was spot on in the standup and the grappling. The only parts they cut out are the portions of fights that are the "feeling out" stages, like they do in all movies. Who want's to watch a movie fight scene with 2mins of them feigning punches to see the other's reaction? Not me. Besides, if you still think it looked fake, glove up and go a few rounds with White, bet you'll change your tune..
b/c he is not in for the movie side, but for the art form he does so well. The Black Bruce Lee of our generation. And if you ever had some form of this training you would understand even better. He is a true professional of his craft in real life. Never for the love of money even tho it is a perk. If you are old enough to remember there use to be Karate gyms everywhere even in the "hood" back in the day. Everyone wanted to learn and be like "Bruce". You got your ass kick, but you lived another day, & you respected one another afterwards. That what Mr. White is today, and been for years. (-_*)
this movie went far beyond my expectations. Real gritty street fighting movie done with intelligence and some kick ass moves. Definitely not your typical brawling movie..it wasn't win lose train hard come back and win. Bone owned all of there asses.. trust me its worth the watch.
you know why i like this movie??
Because this isnt same old story with the main actor beats up some ppl,
then gets beaten then beats some guy on the end full in blood because of punches,kicks etc..
this guy dominates whole movie and noone can touch him,and i understand why some ppl didnt like this movie too,same reason..we get used that main actor gets beaten first then "HAPPY END" em i right??
when i first watched this movie i got into it and its the best dam fighting movie out there so far i thought never back down was going to be the great one it isnt this one is by far the greatest ones
Why isnt Bones a freakin Marvel super-hero or something..the whole time watching he did not get hit more than twice if at all..good martial arts flickand a decent storyline me and my lady friend enjoyed this..9/10
i love this movie also mickael j. white too lol ! it,s a good movie and with a great sense i mean i like the line about `i am the punishment of GOD ..` what a good thaught will b great 2 have some peoples like dat who r real n good friend as he is in this movie i give a 10/10 on da great movie real good fight technic when he is stand up he control all the move and u can learn from it
This movie was epic nicely put together every fight scene was awesome and actually had very good acting I'm surprise Kimbo did good not taking anything away from the guy just didn't know acting was his thing anyway I actually didn't know who Micheal Jai was till this movie but now I'm a fan 10/10 rating
