A fading country music star (Keith) returns to his hometown, where he reunites with his childhood sweetheart and also meets his 16-year-old daughter for the first time.
I wouldn't call this a tearjerker, but I did shed a tear or two in Dixie's song near the end.
The first half of this movie is something you have to bear with, in order to enjoy the second half. All together, I recommend this film and it rates at least 7/10 for me, maybe more.
I own this movie it's great. Lindsay Haun (daughter) has an amazing voice, it's too bad the only music she's recorded are the two songs she sang in this movie. I think she could go far as a singer.
AS A FRENCHIE I DON'T KNOW EVEN ONE OF THIS ACTORS..
BUT I DO APRECIATED THIS MOVIE, REALLY TOUCHING ESPACIALLY HOW MUSIC CAN BE A POWERFULL LINK BETWEEN TWO PERSONS (DAD-DAUGHTER).
PRETTY GOOD ACTING AND A BEAUTIFULL SOUNDTRACT.
THE ONLY FALSE NOTE I WILL SAY "DEJA VUE" A TALENTED BUSINESS BIG CITY WOMEN GO BACK TO HER ORIGINAL LIL TOWN AND FIND HERSELF AND WHAT REALLY MATTER IN THE LIFE!!
Being that I really Like Toby Keith this was one of the best family movies I've seen him play in and he did a very good job at playing that fatherly role and it was a very touching movie and I hope to see him in another one very soon.
this movie was great. i dont care for country music but this movie was worth watching.its a tear jurker.but theirs a few parts that will make you laugh.well worth a watch.
I don't even know why I watched this..not my kind of movie..and I don't even like country music lol. I can see this being a good movie for people that like this type of stuff though. Give it a shot.
