Robert De Niro is one of those actors that will forever be a great actor regardless of what movie he is in. He played an awesome bad guy in this, very suspenseful storyline. I guess my only bad thing to say is the movie is pretty dated and without De Niro..I don't think I would have liked it at all.
Top notch thriller directed by the ever-brilliant Martin Scorsese, and also one hell of a remake. Really intense storyline, with a great climax.
All the cast gave their very best..De Niro's portrayal of the menacing and manipulative Max Cady was amazing - yes, amazing. Also really great acting by Nick Nolte and Juliette Lewis was excellent..I've admired her very much after seeing her in "Natural Born Killers".
Highly recommended..5/5 stars.
Awesome movie, Robert De Niro & Nick Nolte both did an awesome job acting, but Robert De Niro was by far the best in this. Maybe my favorite movie of his. A must see, 4/5
Max Cady (deNiro) what a chracter ! a great transformation on deniros part hes fiendishly funny, obtuse, full of hate, has a very dark way about him creepy,, i found this film just as good as the origional, i like how they used the origional "max cady" from 1st cape fear as a cop in this one, cant remember his name. anyway definate worth watch 5/5 (robert Mitcham, just seen someone else has spotted him and wrote similar thing)
