It is sad when people are now making half of what they made in 1975 if they are lucky enough to be employed.. In 1975 the cost of living was less than half of what it is now. That's the thing, there are bad news EVERYWHERE, not only in capitalist countries, maybe YOU should wake up and take a look around! There is a huge difference between communism and socialism.
Are you against welfare? Do you believe that if you ever lose your job, you should be kicked to the curb, and left to starve? If you are sick and unable to work, or you are disabled or born with deficiencies, should society exterminate you on the basis that you are not an efficient member of its proceedings?
I think most people would agree that some level of socialism in a society is needed and should be combined with capitalism, since it does improve standard of living.

Roads, police, jails, firefighters, parks, libraries, military, judicial system, retirement(social security),
all major bodies of water, airports and air-traffic control, partially socialized healthcare (medicare, medicaid, VA hospitals),
lighthouses, gas, electricity, water, phone lines, the post office, museums,
socialized currency (the only legal currency is the one made by the government), the coast guard
What you should hate are Democracies, when they fail like they are in the U.S. they turn into Dictatorships, a tyrant come to power, telling the people what they want to here, they prey on the peoples fears, and end up have the country attacking nation that never did any thing to them, oh we did that under George Bush!
We need to get back to our Republic roots, you know the one given to us by our Founding Fathers! A Democracy will be the death of our nation! Even Thomas Jefferson and many other in our Founding Fathers said that Democracies are evil! Read it in the Federalist Papers! I honestly don't enjoy this movie, but I'd rather not try to raise my fist in a supposed rebellion. When something fails, we point the fingers. I just wish we could solve this issue before we're all jobless. Socialism has it's many flaws with it's benefits, as does Capitalism, however Mr. Moore isn't doing anything but what he's saying he hates. Unless he didn't make a profit off this..however 10,000 ratings say otherwise.
Socialism and capitalism are barely comparable concepts.
One is primarily political and the other is completely economic. Why can't people see through the propaganda? Stop trying to mix the two together in order to demonize anything that goes against capitalism.
There is a big difference between free capitalism and controlled capitalism. Free capitalism will eventually eat away at government, which is dangerous, especially to Democracy. Controlled capitalism is a must, or democracy will be sacrificed.
Therefore people need to make up their mind about what they cherish more; democracy or profit.
Profit is an unfair deal in which one gains by acquiring more value and giving less. If there is something moral found within that, please show it to me.
Capitalism is an economic idea which favors greed and the accumulation of wealth. Although many experts attempt to connect political concepts to it, capitalism is not a form of government. To the contrary, it is a predator, which feeds on weak government, and exploits the masses, in order to consolidate wealth into the upper class. History proves it.
Capitalism is only loyal to profit. Arguing that capitalism is a friend or defender of liberty is simply propaganda. Business will do anything to make profit. It will lie, cheat, steal, and kill. It is not loyal to any government, or moral value.
I am often confused to see the conservative right, which claims to hold high moral standards, support uncontrolled capitalism so much. It contradicts the very morals they claim to value.
If you want to understand the true intent and face of capitalism, analyze how business is handled around the world, not just here in the United States. See how people are paid pennies a day in other nations, and work under unsafe conditions. That is what capitalism breeds. Business in the United States does not adhere to standards out of a sense of morals, but merely to comply to law.

I'm talking about credit card debts and loans created to trap us into never ending high interest rates which can not be paid by the poor. I for one do not feel a single bit guilty of walking away from $17,00 in credit card debts when I see them take away people's houses and build football stadiums. In the colonial days, they took the tea that England taxed and dumped shiploads of it into the ocean to prove that they ARE NOT SLAVES of that nation. WE ARE NOT SLAVES of the banking industry.
If more people can regain that bravery that our nation was once built upon, we can take back the power that was created for the people. -If you're an american and you love your country, you NEED to act against this enslaving organization.

No matter what your political views are or your opinions about Michael Moore- if a film makes you think and feel a range of emotion- it's a good film. There's a little bit of humor added, so this is a very thought provoking and emotional movie that gives us a few laughs as well.
Thank you Michael Moore for all your work and dedication to showing what is really happening in America. The world (especially the States) is going to get really bad in the next 5-10 years and it is best to know now instead of later so we can all take right action and see the bigger picture here. Those money hungry corporations are screwing up the world and it is up tp us, the people to refuse to go along with their power games and direct energy to making ourselves and the world a better place. You cant fight fire with fire, but you can focus on what is right and true and the evil will eventually fade out.
WOW-- people sure are heated in the comments. This is a film to basically jar the minds open..a "shock therapy" of sorts if you will and I have to say it is working. Greed and the secret ingredient of the less affluent, geez when did that ever come up. i have watched all moore films and more and more i am disgusted by how the system works. only thing that puzzles me is do americans watch mr. moore or is it only people outside america like myself watch him because nothing ever changes. ohh and this film is excellent as usually mr.moore delivers
perhaps because the majority of Americans like the British and Europeans are happy to just get home after a days work and hopefully pay the bills at the end of the week and when they can- they think themselves lucky

Like Glen Beck or Bill O'Rilley, Mikey has his own agenda, and he loves to spread it to anyone who will listen to his pointless rants and raves about how much America is corrupt and deserves to burn. I think people hold him up in to high of a standing. So now his head is so damn big he'll never stop making these films and making people believe whatever he tells them to. For me, I lost it in "Bowling" where he had the survivor in the whell chair go and buy all the bullets, like somehow where they bought the bullets had everything to do with why those kids went crazy. I don't know, but I really think I hate this guy, like alot!
I like Michael Moore, but I agree with a lot of what you're saying.
His first movie "Roger and Me" was for Americans. But when he became a huge success at Cannes and internationally, I think he changed his audience. I think he sees himself now as a magnifying glass that the the world can view America through. He gets more and more righteous in his tone with every movie.. Probably because his movies are so successful in other parts of the world.
Lives are being destroyed by the greedy. Funny how this same governmental practice has been going on since ancient times. The abuse of the working class to forward the lives of the well off.
