this is one of the best movies i have watched so far, great story great cast, it was very intersting for me to get a glimpse of the old life in those days. it was fantastic.
Ahh. . . the life of a courtesan, if only I was born during that time. I would have loved to try my hand at it. Anyway, it was very well done, and had a interesting twist with a role played by Kathy Bates, which was just charming. I enjoyed this glimpse back into our History.
great story, lovely cinema..but, i'm sorry, poor choice in Michelle Pfeiffer..wow, i usually like her, but in this role she embarasses herself and spoils the character. 2/5 hmm'? it might be better with a half a bottle of wine in me..oh well, maybe next time?

films of different eras facinate me the most - beautiful, very well done and ah ! the music - watch this one 10/10
