A cab driver finds himself the hostage of an engaging contract killer as he makes his rounds from hit to hit during one night in LA. He must find a way to save both himself and one last victim.
Movies don't get much better than this. Perfect pacing, brilliant plot and a soundtrack that will actually make you go looking for it.
Quite possibly the most underrated Tom Cruise film.

This was a pretty good thriller film, alot of action and alot of suspense. I did think it was lacking something that would make it a great film rather than just good. Tom Cruise and Jamie Foxx gave great performances. Was an interesting storyline but i felt it became a little predictable towards the end. I would watch this film again and i would recommend it. 4/5
Good solid movie all around and i agree 1 of the most under rated Tom cruise performances . Very dark and feels very true to form of a killer . Great 1 to 2 watch movie .
Great movie!
I actually hate Tom Cruise with a passion but he plays the role of
"sociopath" hit-man rather well.
Jamie Fox does a decent "nice-guy" taxi-driver too.
As the story unfolds, the plot thickens into a major coincidence that may seem rather far-fetched but its actually a brilliant original idea.
Edge of the seat action pretty much all the way through.
Great acting, great special effects and a great script make this film a 5 star killer that you wont forget in a hurry.
I recommend it highly.
This was a really good film. It was interesting to see Cruise play the bad-guy - I think he did a great job. Good plot, script, and plenty of action to keep you interested!! 4.5/5
How can words describe a film that provokes so many feelings in such a little time? In my opinion one of Michael Mann's best and also one of the few decent Cruise's performances!! Absolutely magnificent!
An excellent thriller, that will keep you hooked from start to finish. The plot is intense and the acting is absolutely brilliant; this is certainly one of Tom Cruise's best performances..it's all in the eyes of his character, Vincent; this mixture of intertwined pain, loss and something very deadly. He pulled off the cool, somewhat mysterious sociopath perfectly.
Foxx's character is very different, and it's that contrast which adds so much to the film.
Everything's great; action, acting, soundtrack, very memorable scenes.

The scene I love is where the taxi stops at the traffic lights and a fox crosses the road at night, whilst the song "Shadow on the Sun - Audioslave" plays in the background. There's something really beautiful about it
What an exciting movie. I love the plot. Taxi driver must drive a hit man around LA so he can kill 5 people. I love the part where Jamie Fox has to go in that club and pretend that he's Vincent. Sweet movie.
One of my fav Cruise movies. I think he should play a bad guy more often. These bad guy characters should die in more painful ways than in this movie..I get that they're trying to make us have sympathy for the bad guy, but I still need to see him punished.4/5
