This movie is great. It is not supposedly fiction but it is a true account of Whitley Strieber , a well known author of many books (google him), and his experience on vacation one time. Again. It is a true story by his account. Therefore, it is what it is. Not a fairytale. It is as funny as it gets, and as serious as it was to him. From what I see, it is very serious. Again, great movie. I thank him for being so brave and divulging such an experience, which to many would make him look insane.
I remember this movie as a kid, recently found the book about the movie and had to watch it again so i can start reading it. The book is called Report on Communion: the facts behind the most controversial true story of our time. written by Ed Conroy.
this movie did not hold my attention, how it is rated 4th best movie of all times on this site is a mystery to me..there really must be a problem with the rating system. Not a bad movie.. but not the 4th best of all time..hmm.
this started off really boring and got more interesting but i dont have a clue what half of it meant lol was a decent watch though and im glad i did managed to watch it to the end without turning it off with it been boring
I love watching Christopher Walken, But this movie is rediculous. This is a perfect example of how you discredit someone.
One star for the movie, And two stars for Walken.
I actually downloaded Veoh to watch this movie becaus e of its high rating.. Although it is a good movie it is a bit slow (which I can handle) but it was a bit vague as to why he felt he was one of the chosen..The ending isnt conclusive but either is other life on other planets, which is the point of the movie.. It makes you think and wonder and leaves it up to you to decide.. Not a movie for people who want alot of action.. I felt it was worth the watch but not quite worthy of the high rating it has been given.. 7.5/10
Interesting drama which Christopher Walken holds together rather well.
The low budget special effects leave a lot to be desired but if you can look past it and see the story for what it really is, then it's a great film to watch if you have some spare time to relax and ponder the existence of extraterrestrial life.
However, if you don't have much patience and like me, you want big budget special effects and action in your sci-fi movies, avoid this and watch something more up to date like "War Of The Worlds".
It has been rated so well. I have never seen such a hi rating. Yet I thought the movie was just ok. I kept falling a sleep. Perhaps I was tired. I found it a little boring and not very interesting.
The person 'posting' this motion picture mislabeled it because they never missed the 'Crack-House train', or pulling one, nor turned down 'Opium Dens for Fun-and-Profit'.
