america must start to take care of its own first! it amazes me how we give loans etc 2 those not born here. i see so many foreigners that own business , that have only been here 5 minutes. if you were born here you have 2 jump through hoops 2 get a loan 4 business or otherwise. its not right!! america must take care of its family first then you can better care 4 your neighbors. family first!! good movie by the way.. lol
i think you lost touch with reality.if the foreigners are here and own their own businesses it is with their own money (no loans),they invest, employ US workers and mostly don't even qualify for a long term non immigrant visa.I.E they invest all their money hopes and sweat into a country and economy although the USCIS might not extend their visa the next time around.these people are paying taxes.even the illegal ones.gov takes the money doesn't ask for residency isn't that perverse.i know what i am talking about so take my word for it.PEACE

Cause I m having the feeling you are judging "inmigrants" when YOU ARE INMIGRANTS DESCENDANTS YOURSELVES ..
Remember people that is inmigrant in general is having a reall bad time at their own countries .. read YOUR ANCESTORS WERE GARBAGE .. or do you think high class people moved there??
Next time you want to discriminate sby think about it .. the movie had greatt performances even I personally believee ( Like the dumb MISS SOUTH CAROLINE you have ) that they could have gone a bit deeper into every personal story

"Crossing Over" was a very thought provoking film that manages to portray the trials and tribulations of illegal immigrants of different races in the United States. No matter what your stance on immigration or the people portrayed in this film is,This film does a very good job of having the viewer enveloped in emotion. A superb script and great acting and an amazing story makes this film a winner.
I will not be sympathetic to people who enter the United States illegally. Every illegal has their own story and play the hand they in most cases deal themelves. They all share one thing in common, they break the law. Hollywood once again (and does it well) pushes the left winged agenda to get the audiance sympathetic to those who live in this country by ignoring the laws that keep this counrty safe from nutjobs who want to kill Americans. A huge part of the economic woes we have in this country are because people break the law which includes citizens and illegals. If American citizens continue to tolerate such behavior, we will all find ourselves living in a 3rd world country. This is change you can believe in!
well thats just annoyed me i got to see 81 mins then novamov just decided to stop an not let me watch any more. from what i saw it was a good film its worth a watch.
good movie kept me watching the entire time i think some of you need to get a grip and just enjoy a movie whats great about this country is some of you can talk out of the side of your neck and get away with it cause you live in the greatest country on earth chill the hell out.
Although Crossing Over raises important issues, you are soon shoved liberal dogma down your throat. Which includes the wild ideas of Hollywood. The whole film is a mess, that tries to provoke emotion out of you, but in the end you just won't care. There are about 6 or 7 different story lines going on and they don't even focus on your traditional immigrants. Although the acting is above par, the story is such a mess you will be dozing off by the end. Was very disappointed with this film. 1/5
A little sad. I thought i would like this movie, but overall thought it was okay and it was a waste of talent from the actors that are in this. Give it 3/5
I found this movie to be well acted, interesting and thought provoking, Judging by the comments people have listed it certainly opened some interesting writing and views, Perhaps being English many of them seem to get lost in translation..God only knows what milking cows at 4am has to do with immigration or how doing so makes you appreciate a country, especially one that would not exist in it's current state without the millions of immigrants that were the forefathers of that nation and who, in fact, stole the land from the indiginous natives.. maybe it's an American thing!
Overall I enjoyed this movie and it left me questioning my feelings on immigration in general, definately a different kind of movie but well worth the watch I would rate it in the 7/10 area
THIS IS REALLY SAD .WAY DIFFERENT FROM MANY MOVIES THAT I'VE WATCHED . IT TEACHES YOU NOT TO TAKE MATTERS INTO YOUR OWN HANDS SOMETIMES THE OUTCOME COULD BE WORST THAN WHAT YOU HOPED FOR. HARRISON FORD. IS LIKE ALMOST 60 AND STILL IN ACTION . I LOVE THIS GUY .THIS MOVIE IS BEAUTIFUL.. AND MANY FAMILAUR FACES .IN THIS ONE
I have been strongly against immigration into the U.S.. Legal or illegal. Because our country is falling so fast, there is not much distance until we hit bottom. Perhaps when this country is squared away, we can consider allowing new immigration. Only we choose THE nationality, to come into our home. Not the government. After all, we were supposed to be the governors. Obviously that incredible authority was usurped by those who swore to protect it.
Yes the movie was very well produced. A 9 out of 10.
I still stand against immigration as strong as I did before viewing the movie.
That's not just your government the English government does it too, we let everyone and his dog in our country,
and the people that are born and bred and are fighting for there country get squatt used and abused..

wow.. geesh.. try to remember that except for the indigenous people we were all immigrants here at one time. NONE of us are from north America originally. all of us can trace our family tree back to Europe or some other country in the world.
not all immigrants sit on the couch and collect a check.immigration can limit your options btw. its not as easy as you seem to think to move and make a go of it in a new country.
and i agree with ya on the Mexicans working hard. they take all the jobs Americans think they are too good for to do. I've seen it. the Mexicans work their bums off... i know, I've worked along side them a time or two. they are good people too.
being an immigrant/alien in another country takes guts and is not always easy...there's more going on than many realize.
if we all cooperated more, we might clear up some of the crap systems and such in the USA. work together.. together we stand, divided we fall.. and folks we are falling........ can you guess why?
