The film was both moving and inspirational to all those who wish to express themselves and not always follow suit regardless of the environment they are in.Even though I am from a very much working class background and I havern't attended a privite school environment I still could relate to characters most of the time in terms of the bonds they had with both eachother and teacher. Although sometimes the behavior and mannerisms of the boys were some what different to what I personally am used to which was interesting to watch.This film is also a beautiful visual piece to.
9/10 One of those films you must see before you die.
Mr. Keating has lots of sweet lines in this movie. We got to watch this movie in English 3 and it was way better than doing book work, let me tell you.
I don't know or count how many times I have watched this movie.I can't even criticize this movie because it became a part of mine and I believe it.I felt myself present there and shared their life.No other movie moved me that way.
This was a great movie, I can't believe I put off seeing it till now.. Robin Williams did a awesome job. This movie teaches a good lesson of seize the day!! Plus, I liked it cause I use two of those sayings on a regular basis ("Carpe Diem & Oh Captain! My Captain"..).. 9/10..
this is the kind of film i could watch again and again, so full of provocative food for thought and told in a surreal and witty manor. i love this film the last line is so meaningfull

Its because of this movie I am the independent and joyous person I am today. I will never conform to what society thinks I should be, I am have way too much fun just being me.
Very good film, one of the best that I have ever seen. I'm in love with poetry and this film says it all. Live. Love. Laugh. Cuse if we don't, then what are we? A bunch of robots? One of Robin Williams best movies in my opinion. What else can I say except Carpe Diem.

Back when you are young, you never really stop to think what in the world you are doing with your life. You simply live for the day, hope your grades will be enough to pass, and that's it. Long term thinking involves maybe flirting with someone you fancy, nothing more.
What this film showed me was that we have the responsibility and the joy of being alive in this planet. That we are dust, and we will go back to it, so we have precious little time to make a difference. That we have a moral obligation to "seize the day, and make our lives extraordinary" (my favorite quote in all movie history). That the world, basically is ours. That the only limitations are within ourselves, and that we owe it to us to fight, to rebel against conformity, to change what we hate and keep what we love. That living in this world is a beautiful responsibility, and that only cowards dare not to change it for the better.

Williams in one of his first serious acting roles. Great performances, especially by a young Ethan Hawke. This is very good movie. 4 out of 5 stars. I think we all had the teacher either in high school or college that encouraged us to be free thinkers.
I know a lot of people either hate or love Robin Williams but even though he doesn't have many scenes in this movie, I fell in love with him (as an actor) in this movie. It never gets old and after watching this movie carpe diem became my mantra in high school.
