i honestly adore edward norton hes my fav actor but the fact that he made this movie doesnt help him..i dont get this movie and i didnt like it at all..didnt like the end either..but i still love him
This whole movie plays good and all but the sound is shot, like it sounds like some satanic, demonic voice singing all slow throughout the whole thing weird I tell ya..
They are a love team in this movie yet their 18 years of age gap is distructing for the movie especially Evan is only 17 going on 18 in this movie. She's to young to perform a sex scenes in a movie like this.
I don't think I hated it, I just.. didn't like how it ended.

I was fine with the fact that Edward Norton was crazy and the relationship with Evan Rachel Woods was falling apart but the fact that he shot her.. I just didn't believe it.
Then the ending just made watching the movie seem pointless. I dunno, maybe I just didn't get it. 2/5
I thought this was really good. It showed a strange mindset for love. It was one of those, love is almighty kind of things (from one character's pov) and from the audience's pov it is supposed to seem like: You're not thinking clearly. It shows extremely minor physical child abuse (father-daughter) and statutory rape abuse (just the fact that norton is obviously more than twice her age). I like how they did his character. He plays a man in his thirties who seems like mid-twenties. He's trying to seem legal, I think.
To be totally and perfectly honest, I didn’t get it. It was an interesting movie (sort of..boring at times) with good acting, though. Some plot twists and a few scenes that made me jump, ironically.
I don’t know if I would or wouldn’t recommend it - it is kind of one of those films where you either get it or you don’t (of which I REALLY did not) and you have to see it to decide whether or not you do. If you like There will be Blood, then I think that you'll like this movie..I didn't get what that movie was trying to say either.
I do give kudos to both Edward Norton and Evan Rachel wood on being exceptional actors.
Morbid, dramatic, sick. I do not understand the aim of this movie: what did they want to tell us?? Another useless story of this kind. I am surprise Norton participated to such a project, probably I wanted to repeat the Taxi-Driver experience, but no comparison is possible.
