..just love this movie. And there are groups out there like this. We call them fetishes, swingers, etc. I unstand this movie so clearly, but my ex didn't get it at all.

"Offensive/Rude/Vulgar Content" Warning.
This was different to say the least.. It always seemed to be building on tension but nothing ever really came from the build up.. The movie had plenty of nude and sex scenes and plenty of annoying piano music.. Overall it wasn't bad but it could have been better.. 2.5/5..
Which is what movies are supposed to be. If you want to be entertained, watch this movie. If you are looking for some deep meaning in movies, see a shrink. If you want to see Kidman nude from behind, watch. Even if they used a body double, whomever the body belonged to was stunning.

And a question: so, if he's a super-high-paid with a lot of money, why does he live in the red light district? And..wedding orgy thing? Yeah..
And on top of that, you only see the little daughter once. What happened to her for the rest of the movie?
Sometimes I'm shocked, how some people are watching movies..including you..
You know movies are another kind of art( at least they should be) they are expressing something with images, with plots and you the watcher has to interpret them..interpretation is not what you do. You just simply are focusing on the plot level. To interpret something should be a basic attribute of humans..we see other things in things. That's what we call figurative interpretation or figurative meaning .You trivialize the movie, the meaning of the movie while you are picking some ordinary plot elements. There are motifs and this movie has a deep meaning, a great message..if you are interested you can watch it again but before that you should attend a literature class to learn some basic stuff about interpretation..or you can ask me to explain:))

I watched this with a certian interest due to my respect for Stanley Kubrick. Certainly not one of Kubricks best, but not his worst either. The story was a little out there, and who doesn't like a 'seceret society', but Tom Cruise was down right unbelievable as a doctor. Like most Kubrick movies, if you look at it scene by scene you can see his mastery of the craft, but casting Cruise was the fatal flaw of this film. Nicole Kidman was up to par, but her husband at the time was deep in the sand trap. 1/5 stars.

Movie Fun Fact: Did you know that Steve Martin was Stanley Kubrick first choice for the Dr. William "Bill" Harford character but due to a sudden change on both director and actor's part was later replaced by Tom Cruise.

It's weird. I like this movie a LOT, and it makes sense in my head. But when someone asks me to explain it to them I get confused and don't really know how to. Oh well lol great movie anyways. LOVE Nicole Kidman.
