wow..this is an epic movie..if you havent seen it already..you should..its worth the time..wasnt sure about it in the beginning but..damn..its one of my favorites.
Man Stephen Dorf had the worst luck ever in this movie. That would have sucked. Good movie. I didn't realize Val Kilmer was so huge. Maybe they just made him look bigger. I was happy with the ending. Recommended!
let me say this right off the bat (no pun intended, seriously) before watching the rest of the movie. (only watched beginning) i may or may not find this to be a pleasant viewing experience, however, imo no white man in america is going to prison for killing a minority who was robbing his house, inside or out.
This is a story of an honorable man trying to live the dream of having his own business and providing for his family. The problem is to many people of all backgrounds think they have the right to take what they want and not earn it. There used to be family values and honor taught to our children, as a society we have lost that and that my friend is the hard truth, not the color of ones skin or the ones monetary status, we a a society need to teach our kids better and respect one another.
havent seen val kilmer in anything good since tombstone, this was a good role for him. was going to pass this up as i dont like prison movies, but im sure glad i checked it out. it was well worth the watch, plot has a few loop holes, so i cant give it 5/5. solid 4/5 though
This is a must see movie about how life in prison is. Watching the story as it unfolds you realize things aren't what they appear. Alot of questions that are answered are not pretty. But this movie tells how life is on the outside for the family as well, & the struggles to try & stay focused. Well worth watching, a 4/5 rating.
great movie.This is the 1st movie about prison that actually tells the truth that you can be incarcerated for doing something outside your home even if it is self defense that started inside your own home.
Not a very realistic movie, especially the whole premise for him being incarcerated in the first place (i highly doubt that it would unfold like that).. Add that to a sub standard cast (Kilmer's really the only bright spot) with little plot and little action other than

. It was an interesting idea for a film, but just wasn't executed in a memorable way. Lack luster movie and not really worth a 94% rating.. 2/5
I was appauled by the this movie i was so intriguedi couldnt stop watching. prison is so hard exactly the reason why i keep my behind out of trouble. good movie/ so watch it

I was expecting more out of this one considering the cast, but still it was average fare. The pace was a little slow at times and the story fairly predictable. 2.5/5
