A very dramatic story, well done film. Starts quite in the style of famous musical The Sound of Music's mark of the times, leaving it behind and letting the storyline take over. I was very young the first time I watched it, remembered the music, but more the pride and joy of the characters, overcoming tragedy. I liked it a lot. Seeing it again so many years later, still moves me deeply. A movie to always watch again. I rate it 5/5 for being a classic in its genres.
I had always pictured this musical as a funny unimportant group of nice songs until I first watched it here and really really enjoyed it! .."tradition" :D
