I suspect this is a good movie as Eastwood's usually are, but I found it too boring to finish. I think I just wasn't as interested in the subject matter as I thought I was.
Why watch it then ? Why comment on it then ------------------------------?.. I hate hearing what you hate ! It's quite obvious you were not paying attention when your Mother said "If you don't have anything nice to say ..Don't say anything at all" Now were you?Just for the record ! How can you hate something your incapable of even spelling ? here for future refer--------------------!! "patriotic loyalty and pride" I include two other great word incase you want to butcher them as well, down the road !! P.S. I loved this movie thought it was great!! 5/5
please do not insult other people for differing in points of view, and if your into correcting spelling, you might want to add a ..s..to word and separate the in case, with your own sentence!

it takes a lot of attention to follow the story. clint takes us back and forth through time through different perspectives. he dismantels the patriotic story and tells the blunt truth.
Youku strikes again! Took 2 1/2 hours to watch this movie, once I started I was stuck because the movie was so good. A very kind portrayal of Ira Hayes, I was thankful to clint for that.
Clint Eastwood did a remarkable job in adapting the novel to the big screen. A powerful film that's full of human emotion and the tragedies of the battle that took place, but also

the events surrounding the raising of the American flag not once, but twice.
Heartbreaking in the telling of morals and values. 5/5 stars
I have seen several movies concerning Iwo Jima. None have even come close to equaling the quality of this one. The action would slow down to give you a chance to catch your breath and then would take off again. One of the best ever. Now on my war movie playlist.
great movie i love how Eastwood made to different movies happening at the same time.
I think Letters from Iwo Jima was the better of the two but they are still good movies.This movie makes you think what is a hero. 5/5
It was a pretty good movie. Some parts dragged a little. 4/5 Anyone else notice that Eastwood used footage from "Letters from Iwo Jima"? Just random things like the shot of all the ships out in the ocean, the big guns going off, etc etc.
