Saw this didnt actually see any of the movies it preceded but going to I wanted to load them up on the internet watch each one but for some reason these arent those movies you find just anywhere and the sites that I found them on were loading reeaally sloow and stopped in the middle so it was .. (Dont use Veehd really .. loading system) I will watch the other movies the moment I have the chance too.
I liked this one I dont know how many horror the origonal had but this was not much violence and I always thought the origonal series 80s 90s for gods sake the 2009 remake has to be better in brutalitty we have many more advantages systems for film then we had back then I found this ok but as I see in comments the first ons were more gorier which I jut simply could not have imagined until I saw this I mean I heard a lot about the series and its a good story and all but bad acting the killings in some parts were not even meant to be called violent but they were ok.
All in all the movie was good kinda predictable though :O
But ok um I'll give it 6/10
You little dweebs that have nothing else better to do in life..Other than .., moan and complain about everything.. This was a kick-ass popcorn movie.. Jason on the Bow was killer.
One of the better remakes. Doesn't stray from the original at all. Nice to see that they didn't give Jason new or "improved" abilities like being able to jump real high or crawl across the ceiling, or run real fast, or anything equally stupid (and all to reoccurring these days) like that. He's just still same 'ol crazy Jason Definitely worth a watch

I thought the story was stupid: A buch of young stoner idiots go to Jason's residence searching for weed, "this place (camp Crystal Lake) has so much weed! we'll sell it and smoke it all!! We'll Be RICH!" oh! they're dead..next reefer and sex addicted victims please!!Oh! they're dead too! Wait a minute! Jason should have affection to one of the victims, and he should keep her alive!
You may have noticed that I didnt put it in spoiler, thats because the story is predictable, and you already know what happens.
Since this is 2009, I expected more gore, unfortunately, the classics have better gore. There isnt much brutality in this field beyond a stab here and a slice there. Sorry, no guts..
The acting was alright, bad in some parts, good in others.
If you really can't get enough of jason, then you'll enjoy this, but in reality its just medeocre, at leat it's better than that awful jason x.
lmao! i agrea qith davine! the halloween remake sucked.. rob zombie should stick to music its what he is good at. halloween (aka the old ones not the two horrid knew ones) was very good. altime classis that is wonderfull! if you ALL want a good remake look for the remake of "nightmare on elm stree" itle be out in teh start of the year happy scares everyone x]
Not Trying To Be Old School, But.. Original One Stil Better!
I am a big horror fan like we all are in here, but why does it seems on most remakes, the original one still will be considered the best?? I probably could give you the best simple answer: "The Director and his directing of the movie are just better"! Examples: Friday the 13th, halloween, texas chainsaw massacre, these are just examples of classic movies we all will never forget but the remakes, you might just say, do you have anything else to watch?
I am not saying that they were horrible or bad movies, but they just don't stand out even if the idea is changed by a little or alot. These are the concequences for remakes, you will "always" be compared and unfortunately, you will most likely be "Beheaded"!!
3 1/2 out of 5 just because I am a fan of Friday the 13th! Did like the tunnel idea;)
Yeah.. a good one but cheezee.. how to kill him except pretending that you're the mother? Good nudity, fun and interesting but again, western horror/thriller.. how come 5 or 6 of you unable to kill Jason, come on.. since you know him (by hearsay or past events).. why dont you guys plan or something, poison him, or lock him & burn his house or whatever.. kinda stupid guys.. Look like Rambo, instead of him being killed, he kills the enemy one by one.. raher poor storyline on that one.. Anyway, I enjoyed watching it..
There is not much to say about Friday the 13th that hasn't been said a few million times before so I'll just stick to the basics. This is pretty much a fan film, as in if your not a fan of Jason you shouldn't watch this film. Those of us that simply enjoy watching a guy in a hockey mask slaughter people for no other real reason then they are some place they shouldn't be rather liked this movie for the obvious reason that its another film depicting said events. If your looking for a true plot line, plot twists, or even a logical follow through of ideas then obviously you don't know much about slasher films and have just wasted your time in watching this movie.
A strong 4/5 for the return of the hockey mask wearing killer but be forewarned that those expecting some entirely new take on the hockey mask wearing killer out of this film will be met with nothing except disappointment.
i just do not know why i take the time to watch these sort of films, i just know the whole story before i watch, a man in a mask, killing people with an axe or a knife, people run away, fall over, cry, shout help, fall over again, get killed, and thats about it..and when its jasons time to die, he just doesnt die. pathetic, cannot believe i watched it! i actually baught it on my NTL box, £3.99, what a waste! soz if i gave u a spoiler, but like the comment below me, its that predictable! so i cant spoil anything rlly! Pretty good..I love all these slasher movies but they are about all the same..this is a pretty good remake of the original..by the way I think Jason is way more brutal than Mike Myers..
I've been a big Jason fan ever since I was a kid. So I'm always psyched to see him put on that hockey mask one more time, and kill kids partying and having premarital sex in all sorts of creative ways. I doubt I will ever tire of these movies. Even though they are all pretty much the same and there isn't really anywhere else to evolve Jason. He is what he is a mindless killing machine, and that's just fine by me!
In my opinion this movie is just ok.
I have a question if any one answer me.
"Why is this always happening the same thing in a lot of movies like this no one else survives but only hero or the heroine? And why is killer is so fast to reach every place and not the others, no matter if they are three or four or more than that?"
I'm a big fan of Jason. So of course I think this movie was good. What would you expect in a Jason movie? It's predictable (but a good kind), blood, gore, gruesome ways to kill/die, the stalking of teens and of course a hero or two..If you expect or expected more, then you shouldn't watch this. Its classic Jason but an updated 2009 version. 4/5 Enjoy!
Kind of a waste of time, to be honest. People are running out of ideas for good horror movies. 2.5/5 Don't watch this if you're looking for a real thrill. It barely made me jump, much less get scared.

The idea of mental people killing everyone is overused. If you want to use that idea, at least make the movie interesting. Plus the overuse of sexual content just made it unworthy of a horror movie.
The acting was probably the only thing that was good.
I saw this the day it came out and I loved it,Just went down tonite and bought the Dvd,Ive seen all the orginals a million times,for a revamp of the orginal it was pretty good..
