OMG !! this movie was awesome i loved it i went to the cinema to watch it 2 times.i own the dvd and ive watched it about 4 times in th past week. it will neva get old !! 10/10. cant wait for number 2 in 2010 !! im so excited.
I see a lot of ppl ripping this movie. Thats your right. But the rips seem to be coming from those that either forgot that it was based on a cartoon or never saw the cartoon and in either case too this way too seriously. Again, thats your right.
As far as I'm concerned, given the what the story was adapted from(a cartoon), I thought it was pretty good.. 8/10.
Can't wait to see where they take this story.
Why do we seem to always be flying around the pyramids lately in these anime/comic book live action movies? My sons and I have been fans of GI Joe and Transformers since they first came out..years ago. When I watched the new Transformers movie I at least recognized it for what it was but I can't say this for GI Joe. Don't get me wrong..this was a good movie but it could have been called something completely different and still worked. I recognized the Joe and Cobra names etc but when did they ever fight and blow stuff up in a big city? And what is up with that football looking Robo Cop armor they have on? We all know all this space age gear they show in this movie is on it's way in real life but I was still hoping for a little less spacey stuff and more old fashion GI Joe. All and all this was a good movie and I assume there will be sequels. 4/5
I know about the high tech and that they would use it. Maybe I am still a little disappointed they forgot to wear it when the made Transformers 2. Do you wonder why I keep bringing these both up? GI Joe vs Transformers..remember that spin off? lol
its ok that you dont understand its not meant for you to just as you long as you enjoyed it. as for the high tech armor if you know any thing about gi joes you would know they always have the newest high tec gear and for the city fight come on where moving on in the world so there for they make it seem like it would be some thing that might really happen. but hey it is a movie ..lol
Snake you may want to look down a big list of nothing but 'I like it' or 'I don't' but as you don't know anyone their opinion is worthless, and they may as well get rid of the comments thread. What exactly do you bring to the party anyway? Apart from a load of tedious whinging.
Ironic that they knock over the Eiffel Tower (no spoiler, it's in all the trailers) when that is what they did in Team America, a spoof of bad action movies.
What a crappy movie! I want the last few hours of my life back. I could make a spoiler post with ALL the pathetic directing suckisms that I saw, but, I got paint to watch dry or stereo wires to color code or house thermostats to calibrate. Anything but think of the waste of my braincells that just occured. .33/100
This actually wasn't that bad. I suppose the Mummy was a good film so director Steven Summers has the potential to make an exciting movie, problem is he makes us forget that with films like The Mummy Returns and Van Helsing. I expected a glossy, expensive sense offender and instead got a fun live action cartoon!
It's better than Transformers 2 put it that way, although I do think each film should be a stand alone piece of work. Leaving it open for a sequel that's necessary instead of an option sometimes leaves me feeling a bit dry.
i am amazed at all the "awesome" reviews this movie got. this movie was cheesy to say the least i felt like i was watching snakes on the plane. 2/5 wow ppl
I loved this movie. I was so happy to see Channing play in an other movies where he played a strong dominating part as more of a man than in step up. Don't get me wrong I loved Channing in Step Up it's one of my favorite movies i'm just happy he played a harder role. I also love Marlon Wayan in this movie because if anyone knows him they would know that he's a goof ball in almost everything he plays in,but in this movie he played a smart and a very strong person.
man yall are harsh. im not a big fan of g.i.joe the cartoon. i watched it as a kid. but this was a well written acted and directed movie. im glad i didnt listen to the reviews of some of you. i enjoyed it very much.9/10 watch this movie if you like action.
