angie does such a great job in this movie- she could have been the model herself- ive always had a weekness for the big doe eyed dark hair italian women- my first true love looked just like angelina- wish i could go back and relive the rock n roll metal days of the early 80's when i has status and fame and the prettiest girl who thought i walked on water- god to have that and lose it i can relate so much to this movie- and she does an excellent job portraying that life as short as it is fleeting- thanks for the reminder- this movie always leaves me heartbroken again !!
This movie is an eye opener to the model industry. Angelina did a terrific job protraying Gia. Never heard of the model prior to this movie. Worth the 2 hrs..5/5
I think this was a good movie. But, not as what people make it out to be. Sure, it was sad and etc. I disagree when people suggest that this is a "masterpiece."
a 10 all the way, Angie gives a fantastic performance in this, i saw this years ago, an to this day they don't make true story movies as good as this, its true to its era and culture an very sad towards thee end, a must see perfect flick:)
GIA THINK IT'S A GOOD MOVIE' ALSO VERY SAD STORY ABOUT THIS 16 YEAR OLD GIA IN NEW YORK MAKING IT AS A MODEL. WOW'' THE ODDS WERE STACKED ON HER. AND SHE DID THE BEST SHE NEW HOW. AND IT WASN'T A SECOND OFF. EXCELLENT GIA
Possibly the best Angelina Jolie film I've seen, she plays this part extremely well. Beautiful and very sad film. Make sure you've got a box of tissues close by!
honnestly, i enjoyed Jolie so much more in her beginnings.
she's so gorgeous and she has so much going on.
i love her as an individual, not that i know her personally but on the television, etc.., and as an actress,
it's almost impossible for someone not to be attracted to her, in any kind of way, in this piece of work.
I liked this when it first came out and I still do. It really shows how lack of a stable home and family in developing years can lead to self distructive behavior and the need to be loved unconditionally has to be filled with something later down the road. At least that's what I get out of it..
Angelina Jolie did an amazing job in this film and she should definately go back to doing more movies like Gia and Girl, Interrupted. If you liked Angelina Jolie in this movie you should watch Girl, Interrupted. Kiddies don't watch this film its a little adult for youngsters!
