James Bond teams up with the lone survivor of a destroyed Russian research center to stop the hijacking of a nuclear space weapon by a fellow agent believed to be dead.
I would have liked it better if the summary on this site didn't give away the twist that was supposed to be a suprise. One thing that bugs me is that James Bond never has an alias so you would think if there are people that want to kill him, he would be dead by now. Another thing that I don't like is that they never include the character Jaws in any of the movies, but he is one of the coolest villans ever and appears in a lot of the books. Even though some movies could be better, there is no point in thinking about it too much. It is better to just take it for what it is and you will find it enjoyable.
By the way, can anyone tell me the name of the Brosnan Bond movie where in the beginning he is being tortorted by the chinese?
Best bond movie, best bond video game. i think if this movie were to have come out in theaters now i still would have like it better than Quantum of Solace, despite the 14 year gap.
I bloody love this movie.. loved the game n everything too ..lol .. love brosnan too he wasnt the best .. Sean Connery was .. but keep defendin him ..all of em actually .. were pretty damn good.. John L. in on her m .. s.. service ..he was good .. the movie is one of the best ..sadly their tryin to change bond

Golden Eye is one of the best in the Bond franchise. Most give even eye candy a bad name, but this one has a plot and point. Isn't that the point of a movie?
Sean Connery is my favorite James Bond but Pierce Brosnan comes pretty close. And Goldeneye is my favorite with him portraying 007 himself. You won't be disappointed with this movie. It was well done and not too over the top as some have been. BTW, its theme song has to be my favorite of all the 007 James Bond theme songs.
This was the first Bond movie that I ever saw. I guess it has to be my favorite for it was all that I had known until I decided to watch the others. Pierce Brosnan really played the role well and I think that even if he were not the first Bond that I had seen, he would still be my favorite. Film:10/10

Goldeneye is without a doubt my favorite James Bond movie. I think Pierce plays the role just right. My favorite part about this film has nothing to do with the movie at all. I think the best thing about this movie was the video game that came out for it for Nintendo 64! That game is the best game ever. The movie was great!
