I think the movie was too long and Scarlett was selfish. With all of the things she has seen and been through you would think she would have grown up. I laughed at her in this movie. Redd should have left her and never looked back. I liked the movie , but I would not watch it again. I can not watch selfish people get almost everything. God works in mysterious ways. he take it and give it. I could kill my sister for making me watch this. wow
I agree with many of the comments here. This movie is a classic and one of the best movies ever. A lot of the places were hilarious. It's a love story, but it was also a hate story, which made it all the more delicious. I wish they would make a better movie sequel of the book sequel "Scarlett" by Alexandra Ripley. That book was great.

Scarlett was so annoyingly spoiled, that at times it was funny, but you had to love and admire her, and Melanie was honestly the best character in the show. Aunt Pitty-Pat and Prissy annoyed the hell out of me because of their voices and demeanor, and I loved Mammy. And Ashley is such a pig, especially at the end, but at least that's when Scarlett grows up. But it's too late for her i.e. "Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn." HAVE TO love Clark Gable.
First saw it on TNT movie channel, and it was the best movie i have seen till date. Clark Gable acting, for me has set the criteria of judging performance of a good actor. he was a class act. 5/5
One of my fav movies of all time. I just love it, the storyline, relationships, acting, drama, romance, quotes, war etc.etc. I strongly admire Scarlett, she's just amazing. And Rhett.. wow. I'm thinking of reading the book too (I wanted to read it long before I saw the movie, but didn't get a chance).
Has to be one of the best all time movies ever made. I've only seen it about 40 times and will never get tired of it! They don't make them like this any more! Can't say enough great things about this movie, so will not even try.

what a great movie. the last 20 minutes i found myself wringing my hands. i know that must sound silly but its true. what a beautiful and heartbreaking story. im ashamed to say i grew up in atlanta and never saw this until now.
its strange to hear them talking about the different places like tara i guess the area is now what i know as tara blvd. (the area im told where they shot the movie) and decatur rd. still goes by the same name. these are places i grew up around and i never watched this movie. im glad i finally got to see it
this movie is a classic, I had to sit through this movie so many times coz my older sister loved it so much an not once have i ever become bored with it.
It's a fantastic oldie that still holds up today, a deffo must see, an i'm sure you'll be watching this more than once. 5/5
One of my all-time favorites! Its a little long, but it goes by rather quickly. It has every emotion you can feel in it. Clark Gable is the epitome of a man and Vivien Leigh gave such an amazing performance at such a young age. 5/5
Gone with the Wind has everything to offer: drama, passion, romance, war, history, action, great cast and great acting, great story, great sets, sumptuous cinematography, and on and on.
Simply required viewing.

I just love this movie. This is a classic. I've watched it lake dozen times, still didn't get bored. But i really didn't like the second one ''Scarlet''. They weren't the Scarlet and Rett Batler that I've imagined.
