a girl with a gun instead of a leg, Freddy Rodríguez fighting zombies and Rose McGowan doing a strip dance + a lot of crazy and funny characters!! There was NO way I wasn't gonna love it!
(I have both movies on dvd, and this one I watched first): I love the story and I love every second of this movie. Many people get annoyed with the quantity of talking, but I don't read books for action only, I also read and (what's more important) reread them coz of style and language. Same with the movies. The dialogs in this movie are amazing. + awesome music, well, gorgeous girls obviously, gorgeous cars, and fantastic races. Stunt men and women did an incredible job and didn't get themselves killed!! Hurray to that!
Tarantino is right, there is no American movie like this one!!
Actually, once I watched it almost every day for a month.
Deathproof in a word CRAP I don't care who directed it - Planet Terror I loved so its a 3/10 for Deathproof and a 8/10 for Planet Terror..over all 6/10
Please make sure you check different versions here. There are two parts/films. "Deathproof" & "Planet Terror". If you like Tarentino & Rodriguez, then you'll love these! These are instant Classics, but then again, aren't all of Tarentino's, cult classics in their own right? Watch & enjoy. Btw, these films can be found seperately on this site under their respective titles. PURE GENIUS!! 9.5/10.
love the movie trailers in between the two flicks any one got a copy that can be downloaded -- I love the Thanksgiving theme horror one! The stuffing of the cheerleader made my sides split open. =-D
i was surprised how much i enjoyed these films! i have been putting off watching them because i just couldnt bring myself to watch a film about a woman with a gun for a leg!i did a little research on grindhouse or exploitation films and decided to give the film a chance.wow i thought it was a great concept for a movie! it reminded me of searching the video stores back in the 80s looking for something different and bringing home random movies from the 70s like"vanishing point"," i spit on your grave","shaft","alligator"and "last house on the left".
the only way to truly enjoy these films is to turn off your brain and take these films for what they are.a couple of movies that are made in a style that is a throwback to the days when not all movies had a billion dollar budget and they didnt need one to be entertaining.

turn down the volume on your keyboard, dude. the film you're looking for is called 'Planet Terror'. I saw them both at a drive-in theater and liked 'DeathProof' more, but hell--it's your entertainment

You gotta love zombie movies to love or like this. I don't like zombie movies, but I liked this. Pretty gorry, even by my standards. Typical Tarentino. Quenten, I love ya, but kee..riist, what kinda drugs were ya doing. You upped your sickness scale a couple of notches. 7/10
Version 1 is the first movie, version 2 is the second movie. Saw some people in comments scratching their heads, stymied over that, hope this helps.
Anyway, about the movie.. Terrentino should start making his foot movies and action movies seperately. Good grief, we get it, sheesh, don't forget what the movie's supposed to be about..
Anyway.. the first one got really good, after suffering through, woo-hoo, girl's night out for 40 something fricking minutes. Nothing against the girl's, they're great, I'm equally against putting that much guys hanging out in a movie. I don't like party movies, I like action movies. Don't force me to watch a party movie to get to the action. I hate that. They also do that in some of the slasher flicks, but at least it usually doesn't last 40 something minutes, sheesh. The plot was pretty basic, which in this case is good, there's less chance to make mistakes. Speaking of mistakes..
About the second movie. . . gee, I bet everybody wishes they had their leg cut off, so they could carry a gun.. oh wait, they could just hold one in their hands. Totally unnecessary to put it on her leg. Unless you're making a movie about a chick with a gun for a leg.. I guess I'm the only one who cares about feasibility. Speaking of which, where was the machine shop Wray used to modify the gun to fit her stump? Also, how does she fire it? With the power of her mind? b, b, b, b, b, b, b,
you obviously bumped your head on the premise of the movie..it's above you..
i guess you really don't get it..
if you don't get what's going on, i suggest you give up on tarantino movies..
stick to die hard if you are an action fan..with a tarantino flick you gotta think fast, or watch it 4 times..
seriously have some respect for this kind of humor. it doesnt have to make sense. thats a big reason why its hilarious and cool.
i do agree with you that party movies are lame though.
good and bloody crazy movie plus ROSE mcgowan omg and then even better with a machine gun for a leg i was totally in aw wow what more could one ask for awsome movie 9/10
i hope we find a non-megavideo version one day..
