Two hitmen hide out in the Belgian city of Bruges, and amidst the city's storybook background they come to terms with issues of guilt, morality, and redemption.
During his first job, fledgling hitman Ray (Colin Farrell) accidentally kills a young boy. He and his senior colleague Ken (Brendan Gleeson) are sent to Bruges by their high-strung employer Harry Waters (Ralph Fiennes), and told to await further instructions. While Ken takes in the sights and historic medieval buildings, Ray is morose and withdrawn, wracked with guilt over being responsible for the death of a child (Theo Stevenson). One night, while observing a film shoot with the dwarf actor Jimmy (Jordan Prentice), Ray strikes up a romance with Chloë (Clémence Poésy), a local drug dealer and thief, moonlighting as a production assistan
This movie is probably different than most you have ever seen. I personally liked it a lot. The scenery and people of Belgium are wonderful. My brother travels to Belgium several times a year on business. I had been told by one of my old air force buddies Belgium was not that great. My younger brother says it is fantastic. If it is anything like the movie..it must be really nice. I give the movie an 8.5 out of a 10.
I see a lot of people loved this movie, so I'm not going to knock it.
Suffice it to say that In Bruges might not please every viewer. It's pretty slow going, and its humor will not make everybody laugh.
You might want to read all the comments below to see if this movie might be your cup of tea. It's just not mine.

this was one hell of an entertaining film.
it was a little hard to understand them but all in all i lmao.
Collin Farrel did a great job, never pictured him for a comedy roll.
Totally brilliant movie. A very black comedy which is perfectly cast and laugh out loud funny. Due to lousy marketing all I ever hear is 'I didn't like the look of it.' Nobody likes the look of it, but if you watch it you see that it is a classic. If you liked this go and watch Six Shooter. Colin Farrel is uncharacteristically good in this.

No idea why i didnt like this film or watch it all? Maybe i wasnt in the mood but i did find this film really boring and not very funny. I dont think i will try to watch it again? You may like it so give it go and see what you think.
totally surprised by it, i mean, i dont know what category to put this into but it was still cool id watch it again, it was kind of funny in a sick way 9.5/10
With In Bruges, the British gangster movie gets a Croydon facelift. It may not be new, but it’s a wonderfully fresh take on a familiar genre: messed-up, far-out and very, very funny.
But a word of warning
In Bruges is not for everyone. Like its characters, it’s unruly, foul-mouthed and has a weird sense of humour and no concept of good behaviour.

I really liked this movie. Out of all the Colin Farrell's movies I have seen, it is 2nd to A Home at the End of the World. When he cried i believed it more then any other movie! I have seen Ralph Fiennes in a few films (mostly serious ones), and I completely loved him in this role! I had never seen him like that! It was great!
