I have aplain. If aliens do come tothis world Just show them the programes on television. ican bet all my money thya will leave very fast. As the tv programes in britain are rubbish. Makes me want to leave earth and find a alien planet!! Great movie 10/10 for its day
I'm shocked at the 7.3 rating..this has got to be an all time favorite, great for families, and I don't mean families like Disney family. Humorous, action-packed, and inspirational, this movie was made to entertain and please. Haha, Will Smith does great in this movie, never can get tired of him. Watch it now!

I think Will smith is great in Sci Fi movies , The movie is epic and beautifully directed. Would be more better if there were more scenes of aliens fighting just like Arnold, fight with the alien in predator. Nonetheless great sci fi movie and worth watching it. 8/10
I liked this one allot. I have seen it many times. Great cast. Excellent story line. Good portrayal of what a president should be. I wonder if OBAMA can fly a plane??
I can't understand how Independence day is only getting 6.9!! Surely there are worse movies out there..Common it had amazing special effects for its time and even now, 13 years later not many movies can boast of doing better than Independence day. 10/10 from me!!
I saw it several times when it came out. Still have that patriotic - global patriotic feel - just like the old sci fi good guys bad guys with a huge constant rush. You will love the comic relief of Will Smith!
If You Haven't Seen This, You Don'y Know What You Have Missed1
I can't even began to count how many times I have enjoyed seeing movie! I still weep when the President gives the pep talk to the pilots. Smith's very presence makes a movie 10 times better than it might have been! All of the other actors 'shine' with competence and believability. FX are very realistic. My favorite line has to be "I'm baack!"
Absolute top class movie..Pullman, Smith and Goldblum are excellent. I will never tire of this movie..ever!! Still great after watching it about a thousand times. 10/10
