This movie portrays vampires the way I think they should..it gives them class. Twilight's teenybopper vampires are sheer trailer trash compared to the characters in this movie.

when you say twilight you prefer to the film correct?? if you stopped staring at a screen long enough to realise there is books on these fatasies youd think differently. read twilight & youl be so lost in the emotion and story.. youl delete that comment within a week.
Theres an intricate and VERY detailed historical drama played out in the vampire chronicles..it spans heaven and hell..ancient Egypt..Venice ..the world and it intertwines with a witch saga too.
seriously read Ann rices novels first

I don't really know what to say about this movie because for some reason I did not get the real message of the movie. On top of that, I think the ending left the movie "incomplete."

Gr8 movie-indeed its a classic. if u like vampire's movies u should watch this one n if u don't also watch it :P Brad Pitt n Tom Cruise n Antonio Banderas did it rly good. I was impressed with their performances. hot and credible
kinda long but worth it.
A classic:) love this movie everytime I watch, must put this on my watch list next time I see my bf, to cuddle up with. Perfect. Brilliant film, watch again and again:)
Sorry if I offend (again) but these so called Vampire movies that are being produced today has nothing on this classic Vampire flick. The story line was good. The acting and the backdrops were awesome..if you want a real vampire movie..let go of the Twilight and True Blood..this is the best!
based on a book by Ann Rice, this movie is a small part of her work in a series of books that lead one into the other. great reading. this Movie is great, she picked out the actors and wrote the screen play. unlike Steven King, her movies would all be good but, She has not as of yet, to my knowledge made any other book in to a movie. 5/5
Kirsten Dunst was great, she was only 11 at the time :P
And I agree that Cruise has some bad films, but he does have some good ones too, eg minority report, and i dont think he was too bad in this one.
A really good movie! I think it could have used more action tho, and LOL Tom Cruise is soo bad with accents :P he totally kept switching between scenes. Unfortunately I dont think i really grasped the overall point of the film, but it makes me want to read Anne Rice!
