Classic thriller. Stellar cast. Jeff Goldblum in one of his first roles. Just as quirky as ever. Donald and Leonard are suberb in this movie. This one was actually better than the original and could never be surpassed. There is no substituting great performances. Though is a proper remake would be made ,I would put Kiefer in the title role and Goldblum returning , but this time as David. Someone should make that film.
Advances in special effects and the wonderful cast does make this one shine. I still like the original better. The ending in this one is cool! Leonard Nimoy and Donald Sutherland are so young and vital in this film. It is nice to see them forever young. This joins the original on my SciFi playlist.
This movie is a classic sci fi thriller film. I especially love the ending. By the way I don't even think "The Invasion" with nicole kidman should even be considered a remake of this film. They changed the story line a little in that movie and it doesn't even come close to this one in my opinion and I wasn't even born yet when this came out.
An all star cast, Great directing, And seamless special effects, Make this an unforgettable version of this film.
I personally prefer it to the Nicole Kidman remake, But Im also old enough to remember it in the theaters.
