It was a very good movie. I enjoyed watching and am sure will watch again. It makes me want to read the novel. 10/10.. By the way what's the other version of this movie?? I'd like to check that out as well.
I liked the movie, but some parts were not right for me.
It tells a beautiful story, and I would love to be so artistic as the writer of the original book.
read the book.seen different versions of it..this one felt too detailed at the beginning and too rushed in the end. I always liked John Hurt's acting and felt his talent near the end. The character seemed to light for me. I felt the brooding and brusque nature slightly lacking. Though he did well on the cynical humour. Also felt the chemistry between them lacking and felt that only near the end. I felt the most recent movie adaptation was the best..esp when Mr Rochester demanded his money back for fear of losing her..(watch it!). Individually, the characters were well portrayed in this one, esp by the housemistress.
this is my cup of tea..absl loved it..where are other movies similiar to this one..i'm go and look for more of such classics..guys, if you know, leme know :) thanks..
Rebecca by Daphne Du Maurier, the old version, as well as the newer if you can find it. The old pride and predjudice with Laurence Olivier, the version of little women with Elizabeth Taylor and Margaret Obrien. Wuthering Heights, The version of Jane Eyre with Orson Welles, Joan Fontaine as well as Margaret Obrien and a short appearance of Elizabeth Taylor in the beginning. These are all excellent in any version but the older the better for me. The books are all excellent.
Try Lady Jane..though it's not a classic story , it's a story on a real young queen whoose innocent life ended tragically..though the movie is super to me..
i`ve red the book when I was young and I was very found of it..I`ve forgot certains things and tried to remember through the movie-but I felt that the book touched me more then the movie- it was more intense..But, still a very good movie
It's ok. Bad idea to make a movie of "Jane Eyre" because alot of the plot will be left out. After seeing the BBC 2006 version this seems like a load of crap :)
It is an amazing book, and one of my favorite favorites. Anyone who doesn't like the movie, or *does* should read the book.
But the movie did leave a few plot holes, but all in all it did an ok job
There were many modifications from the original work.
also the timing is done in a poor fashion. most of the night scene were clearly shot under bright day light.
Loved the book but the movie doesn't really do it for me. Left out a lot of parts and while the actress who portrayed Jane did excellent I found Mr. Rochester to be lacking something. Read the book everyone, it's much better.
Well the movie is cute. I didnt really like it much though. I think it was missing a lot of story. I think the very beginning was the best part of the movie when she is a girl and then after that it goes down hill. I just think it could be so much better.
I can write so many things about Jane Eyre. I've read the book so many times, studied and analyzed it for exams, and watched the BBC version. This movie lacked so many important parts of the book. I kind of felt like the movie was moving too fast. But the actress who played Jane was wonderful. She portrayed every aspect of Jane wonderfully. I wish and wish that they hadn't taken away some important people and parts away from the story.
I love this movie. I remember watching it when i was younger and not understanding it much but still liking it. Now I love it!! Great watch i recommend it. 5/5!!
this is one of the best love storys ever told the bbc addaptation is the best verson and if u like this movie charlotte bronte sister wrote wuthring hights so watch that as well
