It's a very good adaptation of the play, Ian McKellen played the part of King Lear very well.. The movie is a little long but, it follows the play almost exactly. The version I watched was fine.. If your into Shakespeare or enjoy watching plays then I suggest you give it a shot if not then I suggest you pass.. 7/10..

I love shakespear, this version is one for my library. His play always leave me wanting more.. i am a true fan of his written wit. bravo for the actors ..a job well done. version 2 works perfectly
Only if you ever played the game EVE would you know what the "Jita Effect" might be. Assuming most of you have not and probably will not play EVE, I'll explain that Jita is a trade center in the on-line game that is visited so much that it lags the system down to a nearly laughable extent. And that's the point. Leer looks positively tantalizing, but the lag between action and sound, especially speech, made this version thoroughly unwatchable. For Shakespeare aficionados, I suspect this one, with properly synchronized sound, is a wonderful production. Leer is almost palpably the best from the pen of the Bard. But I can't rate this one, nor recommend it, not because it's bad, but because the technical problems, for me at least, make its pluses and minuses unknowable. And that's a shame.
that if you like watching the plays of Shakespeare onstage, you will like this. I have been blessed to see a number of plays, and I liked this. For some, the old style of English will put them off.3/5 not great, but VERY good..
