This is top ten of all time for me. People say it was too long but I could easily have watched another hour or two..
Ridley Scott is the master of movie making. Great acting all around with stellar cast. I almost DIDN'T watch it because Orlando Bloom was the lead, but wow was I wrong. He did okay.
It's a good movie,the best part was the music .I don't know how the phothographing was,tudou version has ragged quality.Orlando could have done better.
I've never studied this era of history, so can't comment on the historical accuracy of this story. My gut feeling is that it gives us an idea of the politics and religion during that time and it left me pondering those things. All in all, a great movie. I was struck hearing the Muslums yelling, "Allah, Akbar", and thinking whether todays' clash between the two worlds, so to speak, is something that's been simmering for more than a millenium and comes to almost a boil at times. Good food for thought.

Superb epic film, impressive cinema and very well acted throughout, a thoroughly enjoyable experience, take the time to watch this and you will not be dissapointed.

if you read the history of crusaders..
this was just a far too long from the fact..
indeed this movie was nothing but a fiction..
anyhow 4/5 for being a holiwood film, that is all.
Fairly accurate movie of what really happened during the Crusades. I believe it has been cleaned up a lot from the real history. I think I read where the Christians first went in to Jarusalem and beat the Muslims under the rule of Saladen. I have read that they let him live ,but beheaded fourteen thousand soldiers..So much for Christian forgiveness.. I am a Methodist so I am not talking about the other side here. When The Muslems kicked the Christians out..I believe they let many of them live as long as they just left..So that part of the movie was real. I still give the movie very high marks..I rate it 4.5 on a 5 scale. I also read that the real Crusades were supposed to start in 1066,but got off to a bad start. The bergermeisters in the Germanic villages gave unclaimed property to the village after keeping half for themselves. I have read where they killed all the Jewish people in their villages and stacked their bodies like cord wood. After they were cremated their belongings were split up. This prevented the proper start to the real Crusades so they tried again about 100 years later.
wow this was a long 1, the fighting scenes were short but good, alot of nonsense in this, alot of talking, didnt have 2 b this long, best part of the movie was the beginning and the last 30 mins, liked liam neeson in the beginning
Great Epic Film! It is all in this movie: faith, religion, loyalty, murder, war, trust, betrayal, honor, adultery, love, hate, ect. ect. ect. Makes this movie a great one. 3 awards & 11 nominations, this was not a low budget film in any sense. I have seen this movie a few times and its greatness still overwhelms me. 2nd version from Youku was edited and cut pretty much from version I've seen before. I think it was a directors cut version I saw before. If you liked this movie, I would say it would be worth your while to find the directors cut version to watch it again. my opinion - 10/10
