On his latest expedition, Dr. Rick Marshall (Ferrell) is sucked into a space-time vortex alongside his research assistant (Friel) and a redneck survivalist (McBride). In this alternate universe, the trio make friends with a primate named Chaka (Taccone), their only ally in a world full of dinosaurs and other fantastic creatures. Can they all make it back to our world alive, and if so: Will Dr. Marshall can go from zero to hero with his discoveries?
Really silly, but funny movie. Great send up of different genres with a mad mixture of Aliens, Dinosaurs,monkey cavemen, time travel, singing, etc.. Liked it 4/5..
Never tell a T-rex they have their brain the size of a walnut otherwise they are gonna hold a grudge against you forever and never trust a primate giving you a fruit drink that is narcotic. And LOL MATT LAUER CAN SUCK IT book at the end of the movie.
I normally don't like Will Farrell for some odd reason, buut I loved him in this movie. It had some pretty funny parts, it was a bit out there but hey it's the land of the lost it's suppose to be. Overall it's worth at least a watch if not two.
I thought I liked Will Ferrell. A Night at the Roxbury is still one of the funniest movies I've seen.
But this sci-fi extravaganza just felt like a dismal effort at comedy in my book. Kind of pathetic actually.
I prefer Mars Attacks or Men in Black.

Thought this movie wasnt gonna be that funny but Will Ferrell proves me wrong again in Land Of The Lost this is Funnier than Elf and Kicking and Screaming.
wasnt that great really..and i was just a little confused..did they bring dinosaurs into our time or did they take all that stuff (motel sighn,cars,bus,ect.) into the past? really wasnt all that funny either 2/5
will ferril was the only thing that made movie even semi funny his singing parts were hillirious all in all just really not as good as i thought it was gonna be worth a watch cause will is a amazing comedien but not worth more then one watch all in all 6 stars out of 10
