this movie showed to me more about America's real state of mind than any other source of information. Powerful movie which correctly presents politicians ( and their agendas ) and liberal journalists who are ready to spit on whatever is in America's favor. They are both responsible for this state of mind in USA and it is equal responsibility.Both sides have their own hidden agendas and both sides are using the public - the Amrican people while playing their own agendas. The American's are becoming more and more as the old Roman's - give to the people bread and games ( keep them with full stomacs and take their focus from real life problems by letting them watching more than 100 TV channels .. ).. 4/5
You know it's not what I expected it to be, it wasn't bouncing me all over the world in an aray of gunfire with super soldiers or anything like that. Just the truth about the way things have gone since we were sold a war that can't be won.
I personally absorbed every minute of this film. There are several sublimital messages and many are liberal but there is the message of stupidity from the conservative side. I despise Tom Cruise and this flick doesn't change my feeling. However I thought it was a superb movie with messages for the American people. Please watch it, your time will be well spent. 5/5 stars.
Witha cast like this, I expected a great film, and got a good film. Could have been better, could have been much worse. I did enjoy this, and feel the time was well spent! 3.5/5
great movie! less on blockbuster theatrics and extravagant production but more on substance. i liked this movie a lot. very well written and great directing by robert redford. if you really dial in on the dialog, you can truly appreciate its complexity. brilliant script, perfect casting. 4/5
This movie makes you think.. if you don't know much about politics then you probably won't like this one. I really liked this movie, if only we had more government people like the one Cruise portrayed. And also it goes to show how the media and government go hand in hand, and most of these people only care about money, when in reality America is in trouble and desperately needs good people to reform her. 5/5

rag on our administration? this country is trash and the presidents that keep popping up they make the country worst the movie is a hit cause the facts that robert redford attained for the movie he was been investigated by the CIA and FBI for nearly the whole time he was filming the movie not every1 talks lies ppl like him see things for what they really are and put them up not to make ya jump into anything but to give you something to think about all such ignorant comments like yours are ridiculous this country is just build on media they make you see what they want you to see not what you have to is why half the americans in this country are brain washed for the trash they hear and think they support a good cause..remember the words of Nostradamus the great bear and dragon will unite to bring down the eagle this country will fall sooner or later just like rome did

The ending was sad, it was brave, and heroic, but they just stood up and died. to me,they gave up.
The cast were well chosen, i think Robert Redford was brilliant, but Tom Cruise was maybe not the best choice. Meryl Streep, as always, was amazing. I didn't anticipate this film to contain real action, so to those people who rated this film badly because of that, don't rate on what you wanted it to be, rate it on what it was. 5/5
It's sad to know that the truth is hidden from the world. The government only want us to see what they want us to see. It's just a mere indulgence of ignorance.
Cruise, Streep and Redford.. high caliber star power in this one. This movie portrayed very realistically, i might add, how the media and government stand on opposite ends of the fence and the American people and our troops are caught in the middle of this limbo. This movie showed how we, so many miles away from the truth, can't even begin to understand what our troops are dealing with over there.
