Based on the true story, two homicide detectives track Martha Beck and Raymond Martinez Fernandez, a murderous pair known as the "Lonely Hearts Killers" who lured their victims through the personals.
Plenty of drama and plenty of thrills in this drama/thriller. 1st time watch for me, I hadn't even heard of this film before, but will probably watch it again sometime. 8/10.
Surely no one would want to make up such a story but how unfortunate it is for us that it is not. Like reruns of old vietnam war footage, we seem to need to see how sick humanity can be to its self.
There was another lonely hearts murder case where the villains were a mother & son and the victims were men. The son was only a teenager at the time and was coerced by his mother into disposing of the bodies of the victims-- they were fed to the mother's pigs. Years later, as an adult, he lived only a few doors down from me when I was a child. He had married an older woman (guess he couldn't break the ties with a mother figure)>
film is good but someow i dont associate john travolta with a detetive part..he just dont fit for that role/part i guess. Anyway rated film 4 stars & also checked about the lonely hearts murder ase on the internet & read the whole story. Great film.

although the real Martha Beck is really over weight selma hayek pulled it off..all in this movie are outstanding actors,,this movie just covers the best movie ive seen from last year till now..10/10 ..ill defenitely watch this again
this is an outstanging movie! it's about Ramen who cons women into marrying him, and takes all their money. It sounds boring from what im writing but if i gave you the gist, thne i would of gave away the whole movie, also Jared Leto did a terrific acting job in this one! 4 1/2 Stars!
