A portrait of Lord Longford, a tireless British campaigner whose controversial beliefs often resulted in furious political debate and personal conflict.
It does not matter whether you know who Lord Longford was or even have heard of the Moors Murders or not, this film deals with universal issues of justice and the possibility of forgiveness, and should hold your interest till the end. The controversial subject matter is handled thoughtfully throughout and the acting is superb, one of Broadbent's best performances.
