This movie is my favorite. I love the I don't give a crap attitude everyone has. And this is by far one of my favorite Heath Ledger movies. He is so funny as a stoner, surf board maker. Everyone should see this movie
There really are no words to describe how much I love this movie. Emile Hirsch is amazing in it as Jay - as is Heath Ledger, but those relatively unknowns who played Tony, Stacy, and Sid all definitely pulled their weight. If you have any interest at all in skating, the origins of skating, or Venice beach culture in the seventies, you have to watch this movie. I'd also highly recommend the documentary it's based on - Dogtown and the Z-boys, which I believe was directed by the real Stacy Peralta, has lots of original skating footage, and is narrated by Sean Penn.
rest the ledger..why do i always have that song..The drugs dont work, they just make you worse play in my head. ledger, pheonix and the rest of you promising great actors are missed forever. good film also.
Good acting. Good entertainment. Tony Alva showed up at Ripon skatepark in CA a couple of times in the past year while I was there. He still lays it down. He's about as cool as one could be in real life.
i've seen it before but didn't relize it till about 10 min in.and i dont usually like to watch movie's twice .. but from what i remember it was worth watching.
It dragged real bad, and had a lack sense of direction, but got better towards the end. I rated it a 2.5 because it was nothing special, but worth the watch.
