Watched it with my finance it was pretty good to be honest.. But don't tell the guys that at the bar they will not take me seriously as a bouncer any more.. lol 3.5/5
It's obvious that it does for the tried and true plot devices to come out with a flash in the pan hit. However I do think this concept could have been great if that while the plot devices were overused the characters themselves could have added originality. It would have been great to see Lopez's character someone who not only wanted to go up in the ladder but see her pursuing other goals such as education but despite that it admittedly shows what most would choose to do: excel in the jobs that most wouldn't think of doing. However because this film is setting up to be a fantasy romance then having their characters be a bit too big for life would have worked a lot better in the film. I do wish that there was more chemistry between the characters but it was difficult to see the dynamics of the main characters. So had she been pursuing an education, then we could have seen better tit-for-tat, fast paced wit between the characters. It is ultimately a film whose stars are the only ones laughing.. straight to the bank.

BUT, like on one of the previous comments, Ļiīve seen the concept a thousand timesĻ, it lacks originality..
plus, i didnīt like its plot.. i would have liked this film better if they would have changed some of the events while keeping the basic idea.

I love the makeover scene its so cool. Her son looks familiar but i can't think where from. I think Ralph Fiennes makes a crap politican and his obsessive mate is much better in The Devil Wears Prada.
