Sad and deliberate ending but WOW, what a great movie, I would have no problem recommending this to anyone any age! Reminds me of Karate Kid, but with the moral and ethical drama of life superexposed. Add a dose of reality and get a film which in many ways expressed its own actors realities.

this movie was gritty, full of the realities of life, it is very thought provoking, this is truly an outstanding piece of work. I watch a lot of movies,this was Golden. rarely do I think a movie is 5 star, this one is. If you want to see a really good movie, great acting, plot, story line , this is it. I never even heard of this, this sleeper is a keeper.
Makes you think about getting old, I really liked Christopher Plummers character. I'd watch it if youre into existentialism and philosophy/ meaning of life.
