Fed up with his job, his wife, and his life, Bill (Aaron Eckhart) finds himself the reluctant mentor of an unruly, but curiously wise, teenager (Logan Lerman). Bill's life hits an all time low when he catches his wife (Elizabeth Banks) having an affair with a local news anchor (Timothy Olyphant). With nothing left to lose, he turns to the kid for inspiration and regains his lost sense of self.
You should meet Bill. He really is an interesting guy.. This was a very enjoyable movie.. It had a tremendous cast Aaron Eckhart, Elizabeth Banks, Timothy Olyphant, Logan Lerman, and Jessica Alba.. I enjoyed watching it.. 4/5..
I think Aaron Eckhart is an absolute hunk without being too much of a pretty boy and was perfect for this part. The only way to describe this film is it was a dramedy where something(s) drastic happen later in your life to wake you from your stupor and make you realize you are sleepwalking when you could be living life to it's fullest. The supporting cast did a great job and it had it's comedic moments but not so over the top it was too unrealistic. Definitely would recommend it to others.
Logan Lerman, who played "the kid" stole the show. Very optimistic movie that demonstrates that we all can get out of a rut and change our lives! I rate this 9/10. Very worthwhile to see!
I really like this movie. And it's fun that jessica alba has done a few comedies now. she's really good at it. and in this film it was interesting to see jess in a totally different character than she usually plays. Aaron was very great, as well was the kid :)
loved the movie.
A little lame but I will give it a 7/10. Better writing/screen play with focused directing could have made this a better movie. Almost seemed like the movie was stuck in slow motion!
