Ethics, being human and the soul all come to the forefront on this masterly-written, directed and acted, fun, very rare film when a 7-year old finds a bag of Pounds with a few days to spend before the currency is switched to Euros and learns what we are really made of.
sorry couldn't make the effort to watch second half..first half nearly gave me astma..it was recommended in the top ten movies of 2005 by roger ebert ,whom I've always respected ,but not this time..1\5..don't waste even a minute on it.
This was such a heart-warming movie. The plot was awesome and the kid that played Damian did such a great job. I hope to see more of him in the future. I would definitely recommend this movie to anyone. 5/5
He had a heart of gold. This would be a great family watch. Imagination, greed, good will, things like that are good to see in a movie revolving around a child. 8/10
I do, however, believe this one goes more in the family section than comedy.
Great plot development. like the integration of important religious icons of past centuries. MM: the blast-off in the box. Movie could use a little more strength in the storyline.
i was late for work when i watched this on IFC, but it was worth watching the little boy interact with religious figures and innocently/naturally follow his heart to do good for his fellow man
the heist was well thought out..i'm sure someone will give that a try eventually!
in case the north american union becomes a reality and we, along with canada and mexico, are forced to switch our currency to the amero, everyone should watch this because it serves as a historical document of banking practices and social attitudes regarding the switchover
