When the first manned mission to Mars meets with a catastrophic and mysterious disaster, a rescue mission is launched to investigate the tragedy and bring back any survivors.
pretty cool, I thought it kept up the excitement, had a more believable story than most movies like this, and good acting, effects were outstanding , Depalmas directing also well done, 8/10 could have had more cool effects.
The whole idea of the story after I had watched it all the way through completely blew my mind. I wanna explain this to my friends then show this too them too.
Mission to Mars brings a soul to si-fi with a terrific cast giving their characters a depth of humanity in a topical film. Worth watching twice..thrice..
To say this is now 8 and 1/2 years old this effects were no worse than anything produced recently. The storyline was good and the topic is something dear to my heart so this gets a full 5/5. Sometimes the old ones are the best.
im well happy i found this film again. i watched it years ago & thought id find it on here :) really good film. the ending is a little out there but i love it.
This movie was one of the better sci-fi movies I have seen in a long time. The FX was out standing and the plot was well written. Well worth the watch.
The ending is just a theori, which opens your mind for the possibility that Alien beings, planted life as we know it on earth.
The reason could always be discuss able ;)
Wow! I am really speechless..sort of..Tis is GREAT SCIENCE FICTION, this IS what this genre is good for. Incredible, I am glad that I found this movie, I was slowly thinking that REAL sci-fi is dead, but this movie proved me wrong. Anybody who liked and likes Jules Verne, Asimov, Stanislav Lem, Sergey Snegov, Clarke, Welles, the masterworks of real sci-fi, and those who like adventure and who have longing souls of learning, gaining knowledge and exploring, will be I assume all thrilled by this movie! Classic.
