seriously! it wasn't that good of a movie, i thought! the beginning was really boring and i didn't see the point til i watched the whole movie and then decided if it was as good as people say..i didn'tthink it was a great movie
some good stuff thru out was pretty awesome..a one watch for me./
I started out disliking the main character, but by the end of the movie I really liked him. I loved how he enteracted with his ego. There conversations were the same as any person has with themself. They argued alot, but they also had plenty of fun with each other and agreed on some things. Very well written, well acted movie. 10/10 from me
one of the best psychological thrillers i've seen in a VERY long time and kevin costner's best performance in years!! demi moore and william hurt were terrific too. dane cook was ok.. could have been better but it didn't negatively effect the movie whatsoever.
the only thing that would have made it absolutely PERFECT is

if the scene at the end with his daughter had been the actual ending!! i would have preferred that to it only being a dream. it would have been a great twist and somewhat plausible given the fact that she killed someone already and if she was as smart as her father, she would have pieced together that he killed someone on campus so take the heat off of her. other than that, it was still a great movie.
i think this is one of the best movies in this genre, kevin costner was unbelievably great, he brought a wonderful feel to his character. im not soo sure about dane cooks performance it was a bit shabby but the whole thing with the daughter was just what the movie needed, eventhough it was a bit long, it was still totally worth it..AWESOME MOVIE!!
This movie is so well written, the acting is great and right from the start i was glued to the screen. 5/5..highly recommended! Dane Cook surprised me with his acting too..he was actually pretty good
you are always good as the last movie you make in hollywood well this film is not good in-fact it is great i can say this is a come back for costner please dont go back making another postman i loved costner as the anti hero thank you for this great movie
BEFORE YOU THINK I'M GOING TO GO ALL GUSHEY OVER KEVIN'S PERFORMANCE, KNOW THIS, THERE IS NO TAKING BACK "WATERWORLD" & "THE POSTMAN", NOT EVEN THIS CAN CORRECT THOSE WRONGS. WITH THAT SAID, HE TRULY IS NOT THAT BAD IN THIS. THE WHOLE FILM HOLDS A VERY FAMILAR HITCHCOCKIAN FEEL TOO IT, HOWEVER THE ENDING IS A BIT DISAPPOINTING. THE SPIDER WEBS OF VARIOUS STORYLINES CAN TEND TO BE TO MUCH TO BEAR AS WELL, AND ALOT OF LOSE ENDS LEAVE YOU QUESTIONING WTF!? BUT ALL IN ALL A WELL MADE FILM ALL AROUND AND WELL WORTH THE WATCH
watched this a while ago but now watching it again it was just as good the second time, the diologue with his alter ego is so well done. and you find yourself routing for mr brooks, which is crazy lol the guy is a killer, scary to think there might be people out there as insane and yet as controlled as that in real life =/ 8/10
WOW What a surprise this movie is. Kevin Costner in a "bad guy" role is just too funny for words, but he does it SO masterfully. This is a definite 5 for 5
stars movie, don't miss seeing it!!
have you seen 3000 miles from graceland? costner plays a great bad guy in that film too, although a very difernat kind of bad guy and a very diferant kind of movie to this one, both are good :)
this move is awesome!! I wanna see more movies like this. Ted Bundy or Jeff Dahmer should have become that much smart like this serial killer. I am just kidding. LOL
brilliant!not a huge costner fan but he done himself proud in this twisted story left me wondering about the people around me an how well do you actually know anyone 5/5
